Geez the competition level in the 2nd and 3rd round series has been pretty non-existent so far, except for the Dallas-San Jose series.

I'm not surprised that Detroit is winning their series with Dallas, but I'm shocked that they are up 3-0 and that the Stars have appeared to put up almost no fight at all. I know the Wings are one very talented team, but man it just looks too easy for them right now. And while things might be different when they play at home, Philly just looks like they can't compete with the Penguins' firepower right now.

Maybe a Red Wings-Penguins Cup final series will provide us some competitive hockey. We can only hope.

Yeah it certainly hasn't been the most exciting playoffs. I thought the 1st round was great & had some really entertaining series, but they're hasn't been much excitement in either round 2 or 3 so far. Usually my 2 favorite rounds to watch are round 1 & round 3, but these semis have been pretty flat. Hopefully the Flyers can win the next couple at home just so they can make a series out of it.

Playoffs are going to end early this year. Detroit will sweep, Penguins may sweep, win in five probably, then Detroit will sweep the pens, wrapping things up by early June.

I enjoyed that as well, I have to say. Philly fans are the worst in the league. They are with you win or win. Otherwise, better strap on your flak jackets!

I think I smiled the most when they showed all the fans cryin' in the stands. This is largely due to fact that it was the same ones talkin' trash prior to the puck dropping. Sweet!

damn i was hoping the pens would of wrapped it up last night....it might be hard watching on a sunday afternoon of a long weekend when we are supposed to get summer weather for the first time in 8 months....americans and their wacky t.v. viewing..... anyone else bearing witness to young staal growing into a stud right before our eyes? he has been great during these playoffs

Stupid network scheduling...mid day for both..but, I am glad hockey will be on a major network this weekend, the matchups for game 5 for both series are gonna rock!! Pens and Wings wrapping things up, I hope :jump

Marty Turco played a heck of a game this afternoon, and he's in top form right now. They are only half way there though, reeling off another 2 victories against the Wings, including another at the Joe, is a monsterous task...here's hoping the Stars are up to that challenge.

Kris Draper should be suspended for one game for his cross check to the face of Morrow. However, as usual, it's just another incident getting swept under the rug because Draper is a good, hard working Canadian kid. :roll:

I, like most others, was absolutely shocked at the play of the Wings on game 5. They seemed to think it was wrapped up and did not even show up. But that being said I do not take anything away from the Stars. Turco was unbelievable in net. And, Modano shaving off the beard...haha, he said "it can't hurt at this point". If I were a Wings fan, I would not be feeling too good about this series now.

This is gonna be a great Stanley Cup Finals IMO. I hope the young Pens can overcome the odds that the media seems to attach to the chances of their success. The Wings are a bit old and tired, and I am banking on them wearing out. Also, I am kind of a poor sport, sad to say but too true. I am not nasty or anything but I have been known to pout...so I really really hope the Pens win!! :jump
