Thank you Carolina Hurricanes!!!!

If the Greasers had won, I think I might have jumped off a bridge. Here in Calgary we never would've heard the end of it, so I'm glad they lost.

Rivalries aside though, I thought the Oil had a great run and their city should be proud of them. They reminded me a lot of the Flames in '04, right down to losing a close one on the road in game 7. One thing's for sure, the Battle of Alberta is gonna be VERY interesting next year. Bring on the new season!

Well, a good run by both teams. As a Canadian I would have preferred the Oilers to take home the cup, but as a fan of the game, I'm glad it was won on home ice by a fairly small market team. Of course, now that the new season is just beyond the horizon, I'm going to be the first to throw it out...

Go Sens Go...

And if the Jays can overtake the Sox and Yanks, and find their way into the ALCS, and ultimately the World Series, that would be good too.

No one has any idea how crushed I am......

I mean.... except for fans of the 94' Canucks

but I am devastated.

the final wasn't the only thing, but 2006 has been a terrible year for me, and the Oil losing is just another mark on the post.

I shall cry again.

SHOOT THE FUCKING PUCK!!

Thanks.

That funny. That is the exact text message I sent my sister after Samsanovs beautiful breakaway/backpass. That game was so similar to the Flames game 7. 2-0 goin into the 3rd, score one early to make you believe and then Rod the bod hoists the cup ala Andeychuk. Not a good couple of days for me. Riders get slaughtered, Jays get swept and no parade in Oil country. Throw in the food poisoning I got from some shitty Sushi and everything is coming up Douglas.

It was more of an advantage for Carolina when they were short handed because all it did was eat time off the clock. Pronger must have passed the puck at least 40 times per powerplay.

I think I just heard a guy in Kamloops laughing his ass off..

Sorry bout your luck douglas, I hate it when all my sports teams have bad years at the same time, its depressing.

Imagine a world before the "beginning was the word.”

At least we still have the CFL....it guarentees a championship parade in Canada at least once a year :thumb:

Ya know, it's that damn Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda line that kills every team. They play great all year and that damn line just funnels in the clutch. I do believe they were traded real quick from the Sabres to the Oilers between rounds. Fuckers. They ruin everything.

It was a great game! I just wish the the Oil played the 1st and 2nd pds like they did the 3rd.

I deserve it. Tryin to be all sophisticated and shit. Sticking to burgers and fries from now on. Who would have guessed that raw, stinky fish could make me sick?

Back to the Oilers, looking back on that series they were really inconsistent. Just look at game 6 to game 7. 2 totally different teams. Nothing like abandoning everything that worked the game before. Man I'm still pissed from the Flames losing 2 years ago. How am I going to deal with this now. Weed and hate sex I suppose.

He better double up, or else he'll need more than hair tonic to cure what she'll give him.
