I blame it on a lack of Coach's Corner growing up in Russia

his celebrations don't really bother me anyway...mostly because he's always been that way, and i've come to expect it from him...and it's true, he does celebrate his teammates goals with a lot of gusto as well...

That is exactly why I will never respect Ovechkin, his celebrations are absolutely ridiculous. Whenever he scores, could be in the first period or the goal to make it 8-0, he acts like he just scored the overtime winner in the stanley cup finals.

I suppose you just look the other way at Crosby's smug celebrations. I suppose when Crosby scored in the outdoor game in the shootout, his celebration was warranted.

BTW, Ovechkin doesn't have a big celebration if he scores and his team is down 8-0 or up 8-0. You're just plain hating on the guy for personal reasons. Did you have Crosby in your hockey pool and are bitter?

Habs finished 1st overall in the conference in 88-89 . Last time they finished first overall in entire NHL was 77-78. http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/leag ... 71978.html
