Anybody else catch the " '90's" episode of The Simpsons yesterday? Definitely one of the best episodes of the last few seasons. The Back to the Future joke, the cliches, and my favourite, the Nirvana/Kurt Cobain rip-off. Hopefully this clip stays on youtube for a while, cause it's awesome.

(It stalls for the first few seconds, but just keep watching)

As I grow older, and become wiser in the ways of science, I'm finally picking up on all the "nerd jokes" throughout the series. One personal favourite episode for this is Season 5 episode 3. Homer Goes to College.

Benjamin: Come on, Mr. Simpson, you'll never pass this course without learning the periodic table.
Homer: I'll write it on my hand.
Benjamin: Hoh! Including all known lanthanides & actinides? Good luck!

or

Gary: Oh, don't worry, Mr. Simpson, we can take care of ourselves.
Snake: Uh, wallet inspector!
Benjamin: Oh, here you go. I believe that's all in order.
Snake: Wow, I can't believe that worked! (runs away)
Homer: Hey wait a minute… that's not the wallet inspector!

or

Mr. Burns: What, how dare you disturb us during nap time!
Lady: We're from the Nuclear Regulatory Comission. This is a surprise test of worker competence.
Mr. Burns: There must be some mistake. Weee... make cookies here. Mr. Burns old fashion good time, extra chewy..
Man: Get the axe!

or

Homer: But Marge, we're college guys and we're up to no good!
Benjamin: Mr. Simpson, Gary spilled his ear medicine.

and that whole scene where the physics professor says a physics joke (wish I could remember it) and everybody except Homer laughs, and then when the Prof. drops his notes, Homer is the only one in the lecture hall laughing hysterically at the back of the room.

Man Conan O'brien was definatley their best writer.

it was something to the effect of...

"I see alot of new faces this semester, but you know what they say, out with the old in with the nucleus"

Great episode, one of my faves too. :thumb:

Imagine a world before the "beginning was the word.”

it was on last night, and both my girlfriend and I said. "That's why we love this show. Pure perfection." That show should be preserved.

When Homer (stoned) asks Flanders "Could Jesus microwave a burrito so hot that not even he himself could eat it?"

Ralph: "Um, Miss Hoover? There's a dog in the vent."

Miss Hoover: "Ralph, remember the time you said Snagglepuss was outside?"

Ralph: "He was going to the bathroom."
