4 Years! I don't think I could wait that long anymore! I thought someone said they're aiming for a new release at the end of 2008/beginning of 2009.

I want them to find the passion to experiment. Sure, WC had a different sound, but it was more of a regression into simpler pop and just plain fun music. I want to see them take the brilliant but rough ideas from The Right Whale and make some weird shit. I mean, The Right Whale had a piano composition, some synths, some spoken word, some drum experimentation. They were messing around and what resulted was strange and fascinating. They definitely have an experimental side. TATH through M@W definitely showed that and it would be really cool to see them take it a step further.

That and for Gord Downie to make a noise album, but that notion is silly and utopic. I can dream, though...

All I ask of the Hip is that they keep touring and crankin' out kick-ass records for the next several years. I guess I'm not that picky. I've loved every album they've put out. Some are better than others of course, but there are plenty of brilliant moments on each and every one of 'em...and that's good enough for me.

What the Esthetical one is attempting to point out is that the band is not known for bitching about what they didn't put on the album, or what they didn't play at such and such a show. Having, as they do, a certain degree of control in these matters.
