Anybody out here familiar with these guys? A toned down, groovier Interpol...
Anyway, I've just been thrown an interview with them tomorrow afternoon...Any thoughts you guys have on the band would be much appreciated...
I used "Any" entirely too much there...

I'm a big fan. Their new album is my favourite of the year, actually.
You could ask about the band's relationship with Sufjan Stevens (he plays piano on two of Boxer's tracks). As well, their newest album doesn't have many more up-tempo anthems, while the last album had three or four.

I'm with these guys. Big fan. Boxer's up there for me as far as best album of the year. Never seen them live, but I'd love to catch a show.

Dunno if it is too late for you to bring this up or not, but Paste Magazine named Boxer as the best album of '07. No argument here.....

since the band allow audio taping at their shows, you can ask them their thoughts on fans recording their shows, how it may have helped increase their fan base, etc...

I've heard great things about these guys for a while, but I never checked them out until today. I just watched a couple of live clips on Youtube. Great stuff! I think I'm gonna have to make a trip to HMV tomorrow and pick this album up.

So I bought "Boxer" this morning, and I've been spinning it all day. This is definitely album of the year material. What a great band! Which album of theirs should I get next?

Just go backwards from there. Alligator, then Sad Songs For Dirty Lovers, then the S/T. They have a ton of excellent b-sides too, but I wouldn't suggest hunting down the singles to get those. Alternate channels, and all that.

I can't recommend Alligator strongly enough. It has been destroying me lately.

Yeah dudes...Cool band, cool interview. Spoke to the guitarist from Copenhagen. Isolation plays a big factor in their tunes and I can see where it comes from now.
They come t'Istanbul on Friday. Should be awesome.
