If you scroll back far enough in this thread, you'll be able to see that I haven't jumped on any bandwagon... well, here's my brief "how I became I Colts fan story".

My uncle lives in Tennessee. When I was really young, we went to a Volunteers game. When Peyton got drafted, I was just getting into football.
Alas, due to my brief prior football knowledge, I decided to go with the team with a "star" that I had allready seen play.

For similar reasons, I'm a Pittsburgh Pirates fan... and you have clearly seen how well that has worked out as well.

The story behind the Pirates is...I saw them play the Expos when I was young.
And its impossible to like the Expos/Nats.

The sad part is I actually EXPECTED the Cowboys to win. I've seen the Bills find ways to lose games way too much over the years to be surprised by what happened tonight.

Gregg Easterbrook sums it up well:

So Buffalo failed to move the clock, the Cowboys scored and recovered the onside kick, but the Bills still led 24-22. Dallas is at the Buffalo 43, which is a 60-yard field goal attempt; there are seven seconds remaining; and the Cowboys have no timeouts. Dallas comes to the line to run a play. There are only two possible plays the Cowboys can attempt, a Hail Mary to the end zone or a quick out so the receiver immediately steps out of bounds to stop the clock for a field goal try. With seven seconds remaining and the Cowboys out of timeouts, the only places they can throw are to the end zone or immediately to the sideline. Yet Buffalo's defenders were clustered in the middle of the field, not guarding the sidelines; Patrick Crayton caught an immediate out at the 35-yard line and stepped out of bounds, setting up the winning kick. Not only were the Bills in the wrong defense for this play but Buffalo also was holding two timeouts. Bills coach Dick Jauron did not call timeout to make sure his defense was set properly for the game-deciding play, or to let his defenders catch their breath. the way the niners are playing right now, i think the 'boys would have beaten them as well. But I kind of felt that Dallas was going to win the entire game....next week, if they don't play better, New England is going to murder them

The Cowboys, in my opinion, will be the first good team the Pats play this year. When they beat SD, the Chargers were a terrible team. I think it will be interesting to see if the Pats are really as amazing as everyone says they are. I'm not disputing that they are a great team but I still think the Colts are better.

Meh. Classic trap game. The important thing is that despite 72 interceptions and a lost fumble, he still found a way to put the team into a position to win the game.

Romo hasn't proven anything this season until he performs well against a good team. Trap game? That's a classic excuse. If Romo didn't play like crap, the Cowboys wouldn't have needed a miracle at the end. People will remember the one good drive of the game from Romo and forget that he played like dogshit the rest of the game. Let's not forget that half of the Bills defenders are second and third stringers.

BTW, did time stop on that onside kick? Only two seconds went off the clock.

The sad part is that the Cowboys have a good chance to make it far this season because of the absolute crappy NFC.

If the Cowboys beat New England this week by some miracle, Brady will always have the "trap game" excuse. After seeing how poorly Dallas played against Buffalo, I'm sure Brady and the Pats are planning on making easy work of Dallas, just like Dallas planned on making easy work of Buffalo.

Hopefully if a playoff game comes down to an extra point conversion for the Cowboys, Romo will be on the sidelines and not holding. Oh yeah, Brad Johnson holds now. They should be good. :lol: :lol:

good teams win..period..and that's what the cowboys did last night..as for the clock stopping, the clock doesn't start until the ball is touched..if anything, only one other second should have elapsed..you're grasping if you're about to blame the timekeeper..
