Why is it that at a concert when you are recording it ( with my mic clipped to my hat) that someone would ask whats that on your hat? I wanted to hit her but that would be nice . i was mad that it was the last song of the night.

but the show still sounds great

I've never (touch wood) had that happen to me - Although, I don' tend to clip my mic to my hat when stealthing, so it's a bit less obvious. You need a customized "taping hat" like markslog.

at the 107 min mark a female voice is heard whats that on your hat . my reply a microphone her response oh a microphone. the club was dark my hat is dark blue and the mic is black how she saw it i will never know when the show ended she and her man were long gone

I was recording an Irving Plaza show and during I think NOIS, a guy grabbed my mic and started singing "Freaked" because that is what he liked from the Sweden bootleg.

And to answer your question... people are nosey. You almost need a partner to keep the people away. I made up hipfans flyers that we hand to all the people around us when we are taping - that eliminates most/all of the questions.

Yeah, they seemed to do the trick recently. I didn't actually have anyone ask while we were taping but there were lots of people asking while I was setting up/packing up equipment in Brussels. Many fliers were handed out.

Oh, and I put a flier on pretty much every seat along the side of the balcony I was on for the second Amsterdam gig. :thumb:

yes once i get my computer up and running again . should be early next week if i could get it on to the laptop i send it your way, but anchor bar for wings and beer are calling my name today

Ok, that's spooky! I've never experienced this problem before this thread was created (it's never happened to me, and I've never heard it on a recording), then this evening, I decided to listen to one of the shows I'd downloaded but hadn't gotten around to listening to yet. I chose a show from Boulder in April '99. I get 1:03 into the first track, Something On, and I hear the immortal words...

"Hey, what's on your hat?..."

It's fate at work, I tells ye! :lol:
