Question about new US Dates (Lights)
#1

As I get older these shows get harder to make for many reasons. I just saw the Hip here in Philly and it was a good show. But they didn’t have their lights with them and used the house lights. It was very raw and glad I saw them like that. But w/o the lighting rig Im not sure I would catch this show. I have a young child and I coach a high school hockey team on top of a full time job and full time husband.
So my question is……are they bringing their lighting rig on these newer US dates?…in particular the Philly date?

If you're looking for the lighting rig they use for the arena dates in Canada, don't count on it. That rig will not fit into a club like the TLA.

The lighting system depends on where they are playing, if it's big enough to hold their lights they use them, if not they don't.

Like John Cage said above. Or I mean like John Cage use to say......

That sucks though, most US dates are small venues. So they kind of hurt themselves by having a huge light rig IMHO

I think all but 2 of the US shows I saw over the last year had the hips lighting, but yeah if you get to see them in a tiny bar than you loose out on their full lighting

I've seen the boys in an HOB in Orlando, some redneck-ish club in Albany, and three times in NYC and have never seen a stage setup that is anything as closer to elaborate as what they do up there for you guys. Either way works for me, but that's what I have noticed...
