More US Dates

A December/NYE show in Hamilton would be icing on the cake, although I wouldn't mind a show in Cleveland in November. New wheels, new job and new credit card equals more opportunities to see Hip shows!

I second that!! The sound quality at the Cleveland HOB is tops, in my opinion.

I'm not complaining about the prices, I'm amazed at how CHEAP they are. I know they aren't in this for the money, but I'm sure they don't want to lose money either. I can't imagine even breaking even with those prices. Tell someone in Southern Ontario that they can see the Hip at a club for $20-30, they'd tell you to stop smoking the funny farm stuff.

I especially wouldn't mind a Cleveland show if they happen to schedule it around my birthday at the end of the month. If that happens, I could conceiveably convince the girlfriend nurse to trek out from Milwaukee for romance, birthday cake and The Tragically Hip. :thumb:

Oy, I'm still hoping for the miracle SF date to show back up, but I'm not gonna hold my breath, haha!

Chives, I think the ticket prices are pretty much exactly correct, at least for the shows I've been to in the US (Vegas, LA, SF), which are close to sell outs or end up being sold out just a few days before the show. I would suspect whoever sets the prices knows there are only SO many people interested in seeing The Hip, so they have to price the tickets as such.

As Homer Simpson would say, woo hooo!!!

Looking at the schedule for the 930 Club, I see The New Pornographers are there on Oct 27, and then The Weakerthans on Oct 28. Is the Canadian Embassy in charge of booking the club that weekend????
