According to an ad in the local alternative newspaper in Fargo, the Hip will be playing the 10,000 Lakes Festival near Detroit Lakes, Minn., which is about 50 miles east of Fargo. It doesn't list all the bands on the website yet http://www.10klf.com.

Exact date they are playing is not listed, but the festival runs July 18-21, with the main stage kicking off on the 19th. Seeing as how they are playing July 21 at Rock Fest in Cadott, Wisc., it would appear they would play July 19 or 20. They are sixth on the bill according to the ad...after Bob Weir & Ratdog; Trey Anastasio; Umphrey's McGee; moe. and Gov't Mule.

They are getting promoted the second time around like a good band should. KMTT and other radio stations are promoting this show along with the House of Blues and it is usually 75-80 degrees and sunny in July. So it should be a great show!

This machine just won't stop rolling. Wonder if they are really trying to push things down south? Maybe they feel this is their chance to make something happen. Good for them regardless. Hope they don't tire out and take an extended break between cds. 2008 isn't that far away. Hopefully Canada (ie. Hamilton) gets a NYE show

Cool -- just added it.
Daring to dream: Here's hoping the boys keep the bus pointed north on I-35 after the Dallas show. Not far to Oklahoma City from there. Then on to Kansas City. Then, of course, east on I-70 to the Pageant in St. Louis.
But I know they need to get to New Orleans on this leg, and I won't blame them for heading east of Dallas for that...
