'Song Of The Day' Thread

So we have had some ISP issues - actually, their ISP had issues for the last 36 hours, so the bandwidth off the server hasbeen crawling. It should be resolved now. Please let mew know if anybody is having issues with the streams coming off the server.

thanks.

An absolutely rocking version of Poets. I also love Flamenco. TATH has been constantly in my CD player for a while now.

who is TLB?

Tony, The lost Barilko of courseSmile

Tony lives in PG (Prince George), a place where I spent five summers treeplanting out of while I was in university.

Not the nicest town, but great people. I have a few friends up there still.

No. That was a LONG time ago now for me.

One of my favourite hip songs that should be in setlists a hell of a lot more than it is.
Just listen to this version and it will justify why it should be played at least every other night.

Fort York was my 1st and only time seeing this song live, and wow did it ever kick ASS. I had a pretty good buzz on at the time, so I'm sure that added to the effect somewhat. The Lighting that was used blew me away, it totally enhanced the experience and Gordie threw everything he had into it. To hear that and 38 for the first time on the same night was astonishing, that's why that night is as historic to me as the York is to TO! I hope they bring this out in Bala, it's meant to be played Lads, givver another spin!

Those 2 Ft. York shows were probably my favourites from 2006. The atmosphere was terrific, the venue rocked, and the sound was fantastic.

Thanks MAv :thumb:

I'll get the second Fort York DVD done at some point this summer... as I edit down each show I free up more hard drive space... I'm almost at a point where I can import another angle and finish off Amsterdam. Almost.
