How is he a repeat offender?!?
Lets see he elbowed Holmstrom, than elbowed McAmmond, thats two offences in two weeks. More than one makes him a repeat offender, who cares if it was different players from different teams? What kind of stupid thinking is that, if Chris Simon had two-handed 4 different players across the head all season long, wouldnt you call him a repeat offender? I would. Just cause its a different player from a different city how does it make it any different?cratch:
I'm thinking Tanz's post is dripping with sarcasm.......

Although i'm glad it counted, I can't help but wonder how the Daniel Alfredsson goal counted, yet the Karel Rachunek goal was disallowed in round 2 against Buffalo.

The refs were shit for which team? If you think they screwed Ottawa, you're sadly mistaken.
Pronger will go down as one of the all time great defenseman in the history of the NHL. :rambo:
I don't blame you though, as far as not watching. Greg Millen's blatant Ottawa bias if enough to stop watching. :rambo: Or his lack of any coherent thought.....or his lack of ability to call a game in general....or his overall stupidity in general.

Here's your explanation, Ryan. It further shows just how incompetent and inconsistent (and possibly biased) the NHL is when it comes to calls like this.
Campbell believed that while Alfredsson did direct the puck toward the goal with his foot, he didn't use a "distinct kicking motion" on the play.
On that very similar play during Game 3 of the second-round series between the Rangers and Sabres, Campbell and Co. overruled an on-ice "goal" call on a play involving Rachunek.
An official in the Toronto war room explained that decision to the New York Daily News, saying Rachunek directed the puck into the net with his skate and a "distinct kicking motion" wasn't the sole standard in ruling on such plays.
So, the "distinct kicking motion" rule only applies for certain players I guess.
Also, what is suspicious is why so many Senator's fans are quiet about Neil and his dirty plays last night. One play he took about 10 strides (charging), got his hands up, (roughing) and went after Macdonald's head. I don't understand that just because Macdonald wasn't laying on the ice after, there was no punishment for Neil. Oh well, it is what it is. Neil is quoted as saying that Pronger is "known for that" and should be suspended. That's more than a little funny coming from a guy who has already backed down from several physical challenges this series, deliberately tried to injure Chris Drury earlier in the season and last night deliberately tried to injure one of Anaheim's top scorers.

We've been over this, biases don't have to work in one direction. An anti-Ottawa bias is no more credible than a pro-Ottawa bias. And just for that, I'm not gonna read anything in bold.
fingernailsonhull Wrote:The rule is in fact a "distinct kicking motion." That is the exact wording of the rule. Anyone (from the NHL or otherwise) who said there were other determining factors is lying. You are allowed to direct the puck into the net with your skate so long as there is no distinct kicking motion.

they didn't screw Ottawa..not at all.they're just shit overall..the NHL is a joke..plain and simple..out of the "major" sports, it is by far the biggest laughing stock, and it makes me sad..
and tiger..your "rambo" routine is getting old...fast
