you CAN see the puck cross the line...that's the problem!! this year, more than any other the NHL is proving why it's the lamest league out of the "big"sports...

It was the right call. Yes it was most likely in, but there isn't conclusive evidence to show that, so you can't change the call on the ice. Those are the rules.

hmmmm..seeing the puck actually cross the line is conclusive enough for me

Show me a screen shot that shows it over the line cause I haven't seen it. The best angle is the overhead, and when they blow it up, it's way to pixelated to actually see what is what.

the non-blown up shot clearly shows the puck cross the line...it's no surprise they called it no goal, being in new york

Maybe they need to add a 3rd referee on the ice.. to get the calls right. Confusedcratch:

don't even joke about that..it's so stupid, they'll probably add a 3rd next year..they just don't get it do they

The non-blown up shot eh? I still don't see it. They need to be able to stop the video and see white space between the puck and the goal-line, and I haven't seen that yet.

What they really need is some sort of microchip in the puck, and sensors in the post that automatically detect when the puck has broken the plane of the goal line. It's the 21st century, I'm surprised they haven't figured out how to do that yet.

But then they probably couldn't freeze the pucks, which would make them bounce more often. That was one of the many problems with the "glowing" puck fiasco of the '90's.

Yeah I'm already sick of hearing about this goal/no goal Smile ...and the game's only been over for an hour.

On a side note, i'm running away in my hockey pool thus far. I have 3 of the top 4 scorers in the NHL (Nylander, Jagr, Heatley), as well as another in the top 10 in Jason Spezza.
However, if the Rangers go down, i'll lose Jagr, Nylander, Shanahan & Cullen and will be in tough to hold on.

And let's go Canucks!
