Nope. Never cared for Courage myself. And I can never seem to avoid it at concerts.

I was listening to the live version of Courage (from the London 2006 show) on the tube today - That was one of the best versions I've ever heard! I love that song.

But if this referred to Courage beer, it might be a different result...

We went on a "Lap Of The Lake" tour in 2004 to see The Hip in Detroit and Cleveland. Prior to the Detroit show we wandered across the street from where we were staying to a little dive bar for a beer. When we surveyed the taps, one name stuck out - Courage Ale!! It was John Courage Ale, and it tasted horrible.

I think Courage is great. The lyrics, taken from Hugh's book are used flawlessly to create a great song.

Fly is great also. The "there's no why in getting beaten up by a guy who cries before he fights" lyric is brilliant. The geographical references are splendid. "Love is to try and die trying." Indeed, Gord, indeed. :thumb:
