another big test for the 'nucks tonight...i'm hoping that this good play continues into the playoffs.i can't handle another first round exit

I'm looking forward to seeing Luongo in the playoffs - will he be a Marty Turco (awesome in the regular season, brutal in the playoffs) or a Marty Brodeur (flat out awesome anytime, anywhere)?

i'm hoping we see the linden from '94!!

Indeed. The Linden of 94 was a great player. But I think you are more likely to see Scarlett Johansson naked in your bed than you are to see the Linden of '94 again.

Huge win for the Flames last night. They actually put in a full 60 minute effort and basically beat the Wings by doing exactly what they used to do: hit 'em hard, hit 'em early, and forecheck them into submission. It was fun to watch. I hope this means they're finally turning things around and playing as a team again. Granted, it's only one game. If they can beat Nashville tomorrow night, I'll be convinced.

Shanny had a good return to the lineup last night, had 2 assists, played a little over 14 minutes & had 5 shots on goal.
I can't believe how good Sean Avery is, i knew he was supposed to have some talent, but no way did i expect him to be this good. With Shanahan returning to the line-up last night Martin Straka still out, Avery was moved to center (he played center all through junior & his first 2 years in Detroit), and he was a dominant player last night. He did everything, was the best player on the ice both offensively & defensively, and of course scored the 2 goals. He's got 15 points in 21 games now with the Rangers.

I feel dirty saying this, but Go Oilers Go! Their losing streak has to end sometime, and they'd be doing the Flames a favor if they can win at least one of those games against the Avs.

I hate the 'Nucks with a passion, but I gotta admit they're looking pretty damn good. Luongo is having an incredible year. Once the playoffs start though, it's anyone's game. Remember last year? The top 3 seeds were all knocked out in the first round and the eighth seed ended up in the Finals. Ya gotta love the playoffs.
