Mellencamp "Freedom's Road"..if you can get past the Truck commercial song, this CD has some classic Mellencamp tunes..I've never heard drums sound so heavy on his CD's before, and his voice is sounding gruffier than ever...The duet with Joan Baez is haunting...
Norah Jones "Not Too Late"...her voice takes over my soul...a little darker sounding than her first 2 albums, and she is writing all the songs now..one of my favorite lines...
"bring part of yourself that you'll let me keep"
and a truly beautiful song...
