So, I'm trying to keep track of all the cover tunes the boys are playing for the site, but I noticed that here in Ottawa on Friday night, the band started to play "Walking On The Moon" by The Police during ATHM.
Gord was laying on stage, giving himself a hot-towel facial, and when that was over, he got up and dismantled the mic stand so he could twirl it like a baton (with an amazing level of skill).
As Gord goofed around, the boys jammed and eventually moved into the Sting business.
Has this happened at any other shows? What songs did they cover during jams?

ya they did the same thing in Oshawa and either Sudbury or Peterborough I believe, someone else can confirm which city for sure. Also in Oshawa Gord sang a bit of Do You Feel Like We Do by Peter Frampton during the jam as well

That might be the funniest version of Meridian I've ever seen. Whole heartedly laughed several times.....

MAv told me at the show in Oshawa that these covers has been the single hardest thing for the band this tour. They just can't get a concensus on what song to play each night. So I imagine these little jams in the middle of Meridian are a way to satisfy some of the members of the band that haven't had their requests fulfilled.
Either way, it's created a great buzz in the community and is a nice welcome change!

A friends brother is working in Banff right now, said he seen Gord and Peter Frampton play ABAC together at some entertainment conference type thing last month. I hadn't heard about it, but it may be a reason for the Frampton nod during meridian.
The last cover tease I heard in Copps was probably "Sweet City Woman" at the end of Bobcaygeon. Can't remeber when.
I had my fingers crossed for a Lanois cover, but Teenage Head was interesting. Anyone notice Paul & Robbie trying not to laugh during it.
