The easiest way is to just buy the audio from iTunes... <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=99158177&s=143455">http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZSt ... 7&s=143455</a><!-- m -->

If it's legal, I'll upload the audio I'm about to rip (thanks for reminding me) off the DVD. I ripped a few motnhs back, but when I upgraded Ubuntu I lost it.
I personally don't agree with The Hip releasing exclusive tracks through iTunes. It's not that I'm not ready to pay the 99 cents for the track, it's just that since I'm not using Mac OSX or Windows, and I can't play the DRM-infested file in anything but their proprietary player, it would be useless for me to pay 10$, download it onto someone else's computer, waste a blank CD and burn it, then rip it to my computer (which is where I listen to most of my music.) Hell, I'm not even sure if you can rip an iTunes CD into another format.
As for ways of you doing it... You can't "turn" your DVD into an audio CD. You'd have to rip the DVD to your computer and exctract the audio from the video files unless your DVD ripper has an option to just rip the audio. And again, I don't know how legal this would be, considering the audio was released on iTunes.

I think this goes under what MAv said about Songs Of The Day. What people do beind closed doors is their own business, just don't publicly flaunt it.
