Here's the video for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. Slight change of wardrobe today. No jean jacket.

At the risk of being superficial (and I in no way want to downplay the important message), Gord looks great. He spoke with a clear mind and a clear voice, and articulated his thoughts well in a speech that he didn't appear to have notes for. The change of attire was also a nice move. The felt top hats suit him much more than the First Avenue ball cap.

There were teleprompters for each speech today.

I looked for a TelePrompTer and didn't see any in the video. He had me fooled!

on his left temple, there was a clear burn from what's clearly radiation treatment for his tumour. not sure if that's a new or old mark.
he's also on good doses of prednisone. you can see it in the shape of his face.
that being said....he's doing quite well considering the post-surgery prognosis and it's always amazing to see his face and hear his voice.

I was using "great" in a relative sense. He's had the prednisone "moon face" to varying degrees since he first appeared publicly last summer, but I think he looks as good as he did a year ago. I did notice the burn after you pointed it out. The other thing I noted the second time through, which I really enjoyed seeing, were the left hand gestures. Some classic Gord stage moves, toned down just slightly for the occasion.
