FS: Rob Baker In Violet Light Print *SOLD*
#1

I have a signed and framed print of the Rob Baker- In Violet Light lithograph. I will have to look at the number but it is a double digit of the edition.

Double matted, black frame. Will post pictures soon.

Wondering what a reasonable price would be. It's a bit of the Holy Grail of Hip merch from what I gather. Is that even true?

I'd be interested in this. How much are you asking for it?

A couple of people have tried to send pvt messages to me about this. They are not getting through.

I am looking for about 750 for the piece.

Not really the holy grail of merch since they were widely available from Maple music for $110 originally. And they sell on ebay a couple times since for less.
The last one on Hipbase sold for $500 last December.

I'd trade you for some original press hip vinyl. PM me if interested.

Something tells me someone who joined Oct 28 2016 asking $750 isnt here to acquire original press hip vinyl - only original press cash

Just a hunch

Good luck though, your home would be a great one for it. Hope you find one. Also hope I find one.

My mistake. I simply posted an example of what $750 in Hip vinyl might look like. Those are my sealed vault copies, which are not for sale. I have no interest in trading rare Hip vinyl for a poster.

Cant blame you there. I wouldn't trade TATH on its own for the IVL print. Let alone both of em.

I am actually looking for cash. Obviously as scotty12 posted. That being said I am flexible and reasonable about pricing. It is a bit more than a poster though. It is a lithograph printed on acid free paper a d framed quite nicely. Had never really planned on selling it but, well, you know how it goes.

Another question. I picked up a Day for Night vinyl album about five years ago or so in a local record shop. How does one know what pressing it is from?

To my knowledge it was only pressed one time. You may have an easier time selling/shipping a DFN vinyl. Far more people on the vinyl hunt these days.

Depending on what you paid, you should enjoy a nice ROI

DFN vinyl is not as rare as people might think, with an original FC, LBU, TATH or '91 Roxy radio broadcast, much harder to find. TATH vinyl is one of the rarest '90s records there is, period. The last copy to sell on ebay, in only average condition (VG+/VG), went for close to $700 CAD.

Interesting. How about the Up to Here album?

I think I've read on the board in the past that only 200 copies of TATH were pressed. Anyone have any idea how big the run of Live Between Us vinyl was? I emailed Sire to ask and didn't get an answer. I didn't figure that they had the info but it was worth a shot.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but you wont make as much selling that one compared to the others discussed here. Its widely available and relatively easy to acquire as an original or repress.

Where are you located?
