Gah so close! Hopefully the extras will end up on The Hip's site then.

In the meantime if anyone has an extra poster with the tour bus (and not the cheap, shitty ones on eBay), please keep me posted.

Damnit, I too ordered the black gargoyle poster from the US store at the inflated price of $30 US, it arrived here in the UK on Friday and a note was left that I owed £12.51 in customs charges. Paid the fee, obtained said poster, opened it up only to find it was the bus poster inside, which I already have! That's now one expensive poster (with shipping) that I never ordered in the first place. I sure hope the US site is decent at taking care of these mistakes. I don't even see the poster listed on their site anymore, so not sure they are in any way connected to the Canadian site and can get one shipped to me from there. I'll want at least 3x posters if they are only $10 CDN there. And I originally had TWO people offer me gargoyle posters from the actual show merch stalls and both parties overestimated the poster count they had and revoked their offers. I don't think I'm meant to have this poster at all, the Gords have spoken!!! Wink

the bus posters were $30 at the actual show with the gargoyle poster being $10. that said, the bus poster I got instead of the gargoyle poster I ordered, doesn't seem like a $30 poster. it's glossy and not screen printed. can anyone tell me if the bus poster they bought at the show are screen printed? is it matte or glossy? is the paper a heavy card stock? I'm thinking the hip store bus poster is not the same poster as the original show poster that was $30. anyone?

I am not actually sure what a screen printed poster really is. But I have all three posters (bus, kingston, gargoyle) and all three are on heavy stock paper. I have all three framed so I cannot check but if memory serves the bus might have been a slightly heavier paper than the gargoyle one even. None were flimsy poster stock.

As indicated I don't have the green gargoyle poster but from what I've seen in photos of it it looks thinner and glossy like a standard poster print so am surprised the same one also came out on thick card stock as Tthip has said and that's why I assumed this poster is $10 compared to the others. I DO have the bus and gold Kingston gargoyle posters and they are definitely printed on thicker card. Both were bought from the Canadian gift shop. I have seen thin versions of the bus poster selling on eBay but figured these weren't legit (I think the background also looked grey vs the white of the official poster) but having said that you said you got it from the official US store so would be surprised if it was a fake. I need to recheck mine now to see if my recent erroneous purchase from the US store is on thick card but I'm pretty sure it was.

At least the US store sent it in a decent tube and covered the print side in tissue paper to protect it when rolling even if it was the wrong poster, though having said that all posters have made the trans-Atlantic flight unscathed so no complaints from me. AND they refunded me for the incorrect poster they sent so now I have a second bus poster that only cost me the import duty I had to cough up to collect it. I'll bury it in a time capsule or something.
