The Facebook fan page is really working itself up into a lather over this show. Looks like it will be Gord's most successful solo album, without anyone hearing more than a 10 second clip. I'm curious to hear it -- I like "music with a message" but the content may be a bit heavy for repeat listening.

On the fence about trying for tickets. I'd like to see Gord and hear some of his solo work live again. Don't want to end up beside some booze clown shouting out for 50 Mission the whole night.

Looks like Amazon and Chapters both have the book w/ digital download, but not the vinyl package.

Maplemusic has the vinyl, but dealing with shipping and customer service through them is a total nightmare. I don't recommend it. Your best bet is to just buy it from Arts & Crafts, or get it on release day at HMV or your local indie record shop.

everyone has a valid opinion and my dealings with maple music have been nothing BUT great. and i would rather support them than amazon or chapters. all personal opinion Smile

I have free shipping through Amazon at the moment, which is why I may go that way. I have given maple music plenty of support over the years, and can say my experience has also been positive.

I'll try for as many tickets as I can get to the Ottawa show for myself and 'Basers.

Anybody else willing to do the same?

These shows are going to be very special. Good luck to everybody trying for tickets. Hopefully it'll go a little smoother than the Hip ticket fiasco.

My daughter just recently started Trent University, where coincidentally there is Wenjack theatre, named after Chanie. I received a text from her last night that her Indigenous Studies proff made mention that Gord might be making a visit to the Campus and theatre.

Could be rumor, could be possible, just thought I would mention it. Seems like a perfect (and very fitting) venue for him.
