Driving home from work tonight I had the iPod on shuffle and on comes "Heart of the Melt" and before long I'm going too fast. As soon as Gord sang "Blue" I was somewhere else.
There are many non-Hip tunes that do this to me, such as "Never Enough" by the Cure. "Wait, I'm not in an action movie?" Better slow down, and not be such a slave to the music.

Wherewithal and recently, Hot Mic. Although it may be more of a too many lane changes/sudden passing ticket. :music :thumb:

Greasy Jungle. It's the slow burners that do it for me. As the song builds your foot gets heavier and heavier until before you know it you're flying. Locked in the Trunk of a Car also falls into this category.

Just had a flashback reading the title.
Back when Road Apples came out, I had a Honda CRX, what a fun little car that was. I remember one hot summer day heading up to a cottage, driving on a very secluded, winding road, one of those roads that if you had never driven it before, 40kph might be your max speed. Once you felt comfortable and knew the upcoming curves, you could maybe crest 60-70 and still feel comfortable.
Anyhew, I'm by myself, Little Bones came on, so of course I turn the volume up, windows down......about halfway through the song I realize I am flying down this road at 110kph, tires squealing a bit with each turn. That didn't stop me though, I was in my happy place and made record time to the cottage that day as well!
EDIT - Damn I miss that car.
Oh, and aside from Little Bones, I am sure Three Pistols would be a $200 ticket as well.

Locked in the Trunk of a Car. No pun intended - that song just gets me riled up and agitated like no other Hip song. (Although 'No Threat' - that sadly forgotten curio, maybe the last major Hip track to be built off blues progressions? - could also do the trick. But nothing like 'Trunk').
