Hip on Youtube

Just want to say a BIG "thank you" to the original recorders and uploaders for all these great vids. I've only been able to see The Hip a handful of times here in the UK, so watching all these live performances from different eras is a real treat. Wish I could make it back to Canada for one of these "final" performances, but from what I understand there are plenty of Canadians living in Canada that couldn't get tickets. I just hope someone plans to record at least one of these "final" shows and will share it on here for the rest of us to see. Or if someone could record and upload the CBC broadcast for the rest of us that would be ACE! I'm going to try to see it (on at 1:30AM here, on my birthday no less Wink streaming somewhere on this side of the Atlantic if possible, but just in case, PLEASE someone record it and upload it. Need to see/hear these great MMP songs played live! Smile

The CBC broadcast isn't being geoblocked.

So I understand, but it may still be challenging to find a decent CBC feed here, particularly at 1:30 AM as I'd personally prefer to watch it on a larger screen at a more convenient time (I don't have a "smart TV" that I can watch a CBC YouTube link on), but I will be making every effort to see it as it is streamed live, even if it will be on a piddly laptop. I just hope it stays up somewhere to watch it after the fact, so there might be some potential to grab it to watch repeatedly in the future as well. I just don't know how this is going to work out, so thought someone in Canada would likely be recording it and could post it up somewhere for the rest of us, just in case things don't work out. Smile

This was such a weird show, such a weird day. Typical Wasaga, in every way imaginable. But that version of Fire In The Hole, that's still something else all together.

Nice to see the Luxury make a return. Great album cut. As for the scar....I only see a shadow (from the feathers!). The hats cover up anything unusual IMO. Love the Flamboyant-Gord persona....

Without stating the obvious, this tour is an absolute miracle from the band and Gord Downie....I'm trying to stay as positive as possible.

Really enjoyed this, thanks. That's the first time I think I've heard GS speak on the mic. And I always forget what a powerhouse the band is, sometimes it takes an outdoor show to remind me. I saw them play to 75K at an outdoor show in Moncton and they were outstanding. And the Woodstock show is one of their best IMHO. It's gotta be tough to carry a crowd of that size.
