Machine
#1

I write about words, I find treasure or worse
I watch the end of man and, and I dream like a bird

I remain aloft and I forget a lot
I try not to try and I can remember or not

I'm a real machine, it follows
You're a real machine, fed on shadows*
I'm a real machine. Follow?
You're a real machine, we're fed on shadows

I return your gaze and I wait in the rain
All inchoate desires, I do what I hate

I remain aloft and I forget a lot
Then I try not to try and I can remember, or not

You're a real machine, it follows,
I'm a real machine. Follow.

I'm a real machine, it follows
You're a real machine, fed on shadows.
I'm a real machine, it follows
You're a real machine. Fed on shadows

* “His intelligence and emotions may quite well be in fine shape, it's his imagination that's been starved and fed on shadows” – Northrop Frye

Incredible.

This is my runaway favourite track on the album, thus far.

This song is also an indication that the band are entering yet another level of songwriting, that could possibly transform the sound of the band. Similar to the impact DFN had, in my opinion.

Here's hoping we get to experience that next level further.

I've been struggling with Gord's use of the term "real machine"...it seems too banal to not be a specific reference to something. Then I started thinking about the whole lyric "I'm a real machine, it follows, you're a real machine, fed on shadows." We know now that "fed on shadows" is probably a Northrup Frye quote (http://www.thehip.com/albums/Man+Machine+Poem/Machine/), but "it follows" is mathematical grammar for "this indicates" (or maybe it's just common grammar and I've only heard it in math proofs?).

Thinking that maybe "real machine" might be a mathematical term, I remembered that Alan Turing defined the theoretical idea of a computer, called a Turing Machine. He also came up with a definition of artificial intelligence, where you have an impartial judge asking text-only questions to two beings, one a person, and the other, unbeknownst to the judge, a machine (http://psych.utoronto.ca/users/reingold/...uring.html). He said that the machine would be considered intelligent if the judge couldn't tell, based on the answers to his questions, which was the person, and which was the machine.

I could be way off here, but could "real machine" be a classic Gord Downie hidden reference to Alan Turing's definition of artificial intelligence? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turing_mac...l_machines

This line is also interesting, "All inchoate desires, I do what I hate". The line also appears on the first track, "Man": "I do what I hate and don't understand"...maybe because they were originally one song, but it's still interesting. "Inchoate" means "just begun and so not fully formed or developed; rudimentary." and another Google search shows "inchoate desires" appears in lots of literature.

An absolute killer track, my early favourite by some distance. It should have been the second single.

A real IVL feel to the track.

But the guitar riff on the first chorus was bothering me, it just sounded so familiar. Finally popped into my head, it's very similar to Rob's guitar solo on that track "Land" they recorded on the first ARA tour with Midnight Oil, Daniel Lanois, Hothouse Flowers and Crash Vegas.

I remember having the cassette single of that song! I'll have to see if it's on YouTube...

Yup, here it is: https://youtu.be/DwFgMmqkEPA

This song boasts the triumphant return of the Paul Langlois backup vocal. It had been a long time.

Sean, perfect topic for a perfect song.

The tempo changes from atmospheric (dare I say electronica influenced, alternative? Psychedelic?) to the hard rocking chorus, with Paul's incredible background vocals, this is already one of my favorite all time songs

Cant get enough listens.

And the mentions of Turing and Machine...is this Person of Interest (well that was Caroline, not Alan, but similarly influenced!)

Charlie Chaplin films were shown in my Philosophy class. He had a lot to say about machines....and man.

Mind is the Master power that moulds and makes,
And Man is Mind, and evermore he takes
The tool of Thought, and, shaping what he wills,
Brings forth a thousand joys, a thousand ills:--
He thinks in secret, and it comes to pass:
Environment is but his looking-glass._
James Allen 1864-1912

Ahhh...The Tragically Hip..."This too shall pass"! Our "tool" of music will be gone...so the torch will get passed to the "next" best thing....

"The Ishaya's Ascension" is a name given to an aspect of reality, a way of life, a way of thinking, a meditative tool.....

There is a saying that some like to use. "We are only Human."
Unfortunately at the level of the relative bound Ego, this can be a very limited statement, inclusive of all of the beliefs in mortality and human frailty that exists within the ego and any illusions it subscribes to.
It's like taking one idea of the personal self image, and anchoring it into the created earthly reality as an absolute statement, leaving very little room for the obvious evolution of Consciousness as it ascends from Ignorance to Mastery.
The waking state ego doesn't acknowledge the immortal aspect of Consciousness in the unlimited forms of humanity, whether physical or non-physical, because it's identity is with the temporary personal vision, as a physical reality dominant over all other ideas and realities.

Humanity has a subjective history in the rise and fall of the reflections of Human consciousness.
From the Golden age (Satya Yuga) to the Dark ages (Kali Yuga). We have lived the reflections of what could be called some of the best, and some of the worst, of what Humanity might project upon the surface of planet Earth. In Truth there is only the reflection of thought. Whether it's a good orbad thought is subject to the individual or collective in the perspective.

The coming changes so largely prophesied for the new millennia, include an ascension of Conscious Awareness that is a manifestation of the transition from Kali Yuga to Satya Yuga, or the evolution of humanity as an idea and a form, as it moves from the dark age to the golden age.
According to Vedic philosophy and science, Kali Yuga is slightly over 400,000 years in duration. As we enter into the age of Aquarius we are leaving the age of Kali Yuga and entering into the Satya Yuga or Golden age, which is like moving from winter, into spring and summer (using an analogy from a seasonal point of view in relationship to consciousness on earth).
The Mayan Calendar predicts an energetic threshold will be reached around the end of December 2012. I included some of what MSI spoke of as it was recorded in the 1997 Sedona Journal article, in the last Newsletter regarding this predicted threshold.

This energetic transition was picking up speed in its influence of consciousness on the planet at the beginning of the 20th century. It brought about an industrial revolution where science and technology took a huge leap. The quality of life as a testimony to rising consciousness on earth has been evident for more than the last 2000 years, but it's increasing exponentially. We are at a stage where we can easily destroy ourselves and this planet with the push of a button, or evolve beyond the self destructive nature that some will apply to "being Human".
In addressing the statement or idea,.. "I/WE am/are Only Human", we might also look at any and all beliefs regarding who or what we think we are, or might be, from the subjective and objective experiences of all states of consciousness.

Every state of consciousness has its own subjective and objective qualities, and supports its own natural laws.
It wasn't that long ago that our humanity was chasing witches, and burning them at the stake. Because we thought they were evil, or influenced by Satan, we (human beings) accused them of witchcraft and made them a subject within the reasons for the suffering of our humanity.

When our ideas of human integrity are threatened, we have a habit to make the determination that we should cleanse the earth of such things/people who are an affront to our sense of reality.
Funnily enough, (as my teacher used to say) there are still a few people out there even in this day and age, who would like to cry witch when it comes to identifying a person or persons who are a threat to what God and humanity should look like. We are quick to condemn and remove those who display the symptoms of what we call undesirable human qualities, rather than to effect a cure at the source of the symptom or its cause, or to get over ourselves and our fear superstition and prejudice.

Today in the U.S. we have the media, coupled with homeland security which has a great influence on our sense of fear and the need to protect ourselves from evil incursions.
A couple of hundred years ago it was the Church that spread their influences, defining good and evil through the rumor mill of Human superstition and gossip.
Another quote from the Sedona Journal Article:
It is time for all the co-workers for peace, all those who wish to be or are already enlightened, all those who possess goodwill for humanity, all leaders everywhere, to drop their surface and petty differences and unite with one voice of understanding and praise for the source of all that is. The simple guiding principle is this: if we are sowing division, preaching destruction, seeking or finding evil in the world (even if we are looking for it with the intention of removing it!), then we are part of the problem, not the cure. -MSI-

Without the direct experience of God, or Consciousness, or the Ascendant, there is very little evidence to make a connection between THAT (The Ascendant source) and any created reflection of THAT. Someone can tell you it's so, and you can believe it, but having the continuous experience is a bit different than carrying a belief in something without the experience.

All correlations to every thought feeling and action are relative to the belief in the egoic ideal, or the ego's worst nightmare. In other words the concepts of the universe and what it is, inclusive of the human in respect to its origin, are not based on the unbounded or unlimited infinite and the experience of that, but instead the limits of personal belief, fear and superstition when ignorance of the source of all things is present in the mind.
"Some of us have already remembered that we are multidimensional beings. We, living on the Earth are opened to Universal Mind. The voice of the universe speaks through us." -MSI-

If you had no previous knowledge, or any idea of who or what you are, who would tell you who or what you are, or where would you get your information from?

As newborn babies our humanity is defined for us by our parents and all of the societal influences that color their beliefs in the way they interact with us. Television, radio, the internet (the media) and even our public school systems can prescribe systems of belief which become our social mores.
Our parents beliefs, filtered into their language is filled with the unconscious acceptance of what reality is, in the definitions they have chosen to accept, at their level of conscious awareness as they either experience it, or believe in it regardless of experience.

From the standpoint of the ego living in the waking state, this is inclusive of the fears that are imagined by the superstitious mind which is lacking in experience.
Beliefs and superstition, are easily passed down from generation to generation, and as good children we so often accept what we are told by the accepted authority without much thought.

If we are born in Russia and we call ourselves Russian, or in England we call ourselves English, or America we call ourselves American. How do we differentiate our character, our heritage, or our intelligence?
Our history says we do it with education, based on family values, social values, science and religion. Someone or some people, decide what is taught in schools and what is real and to be broadcast in our communication media.
In our past, subjective differences in personal opinions about which values were in conflict have gone so far as to lead Humanity into making the choice to go to war with the opposition, because of pride and the personal distinction of the threat that stands in the way of personal or societal belief.

We would kill each other so that we may rise above the others weaknesses/faults/beliefs and try to escape any faults in breeding or bad habit.
Our history paints a picture of our humanity as being somewhat superstitious and self destructive. Evolutionists would like to say it's the inherent "survival of the fittest" quality of nature that is built into all animals, including the human animal.
Not exactly the idea I would choose to accept about myself, but it would seem that those who choose the label of "human", will wish to see and apply their own personal ideas about the word human or humanity if it fits their current mindset. So often an idea of being a frail victim to circumstance, or a product of our scientific DNA etc. etc.

There is from the level of the ego, the reality that any personal definition you adopt may be in conflict with the personal definition of your neighbor. Working to maintain ones defining principles in duality where opposites and conflict are part of those defining principles in being human, is not always so easy, and its why we so easily bow to an authority outside of our own experiences to dictate the rules of reality for us.

God is not democratic, yet the ego will find a need to measure superior thought and gather strength in numbers out of fear. The more people claiming the truth should make it so, right?
Somehow that doesn't always work out. The small contingent of humanity who preached that the Earth was flat believed that truth to be real, but it never influenced the Vikings, if it is true that they once reached the shores of North America before Columbus made his famed voyage.

This idea of measure is tantamount to the determination of where there might be more God in an individual or in a group, or more God in humanity...
Where God is best utilized and where God is lacking is part of that burn the witch at the stake mentality. The idea of Godly superiority was often put forth by many leaders going into battle with "God is on our side" as their cry of inspiration.

God takes sides!?? Well I suppose it makes sense in a religious kind of way to those that want to believe. In a cosmic sense it could be said that God supports all sides equally, so it's not too far from the truth.

Ideally, from the idea of pride and fear of failure we all want to be superior in our judgments of who or what we think we are, and who or what we think we are destined to be within the constructs of the ultimate and infinite reality. That's because we are disconnected from the ultimate reality where there is no such thing as an ideal or something less than ideal, and because we created this system of duality in which we live from a lack of awareness in Unity. It's the Original Sin, so to speak. Karma, or the setting of the stage we have come to play upon.

No one wants to feel they are less than capable of understanding reality, and no one consciously decides to do less than they are capable of. However, the level of consciousness does seem to create different relationships to the self, and humanity according to experience and the knowledge levels of the intellect, otherwise we wouldn't believe in, or witness evolution and enlightenment.

Habit can create a divergence from even the best intentions or goals, and so even when one takes any path of enlightenment the decision to move towards the goal does not mean that whatever we choose to leave behind in pursuit of the goal, is automatically gone or abandoned along the path. In fact one has to be more diligent in awareness regarding what one wishes to focus on. Habit is like an automatic function that continues to operate at all levels of the mind. The subconscious can affect the conscious mind until there is a new foundation of thought that is firmly set in place.

Stress dissolves with regular practice, deep rest is achieved, clarity of mind is experienced when stress does not plague the mind and nervous system etc... And one important reality that is often missed... The enlightened still feel and act within the relative, rather than escape it in Ascension. After all it is more a part of them in Unity than it was when it was seen as separate from them.
First there is a mountain.. Then there is no mountain.. Then there is.

A Zen analogy, the idea that before enlightenment, reality is seen as outside of ones self and the physical reality is the true reality. When you experience Kensho, or Satori, or have an enlightenment experience, there are no mountains and rivers any more, just the Ascendant. Finally when you are fully enlightened, Reality is seen as the reflection of the Ascendant.

In Egyptian Myth, when one approached the gates to the afterlife, and judgment thru the God Osiris, they were asked a question regarding who they were. If one said they were the personality that they had adopted in earthly life, they were cast back onto earth to incarnate and go further into the Ascendant self to discover more of that. If they said they were the ascendant but denied their reflection as a part of the Ascendant in individuality and as a personality, they were cast back upon the earth to find an appreciation for the reality of God in the manifest. The story of the eye of the needle applies here, where one must fit through the eye of the needle before evolving past the need to incarnate upon the earth and ascend into the higher realms of humanity. One cannot be unbalanced and fit through the eye of the needle to Ascend.

In the Biblical Scripture, the eye of the needle was both a physical place and a symbol of passage into higher states of consciousness. There was a passage way called the eye of the needle where travelers were required to unpack their camels and take them thru on their knees to pass thru the narrow passage way between the rocks. Symbolically when Jesus mentioned the eye of the needle, it was in reference to the baggage one carries about in the personal beliefs that have to be set down in order to pass thru the narrow space that only allows the true image of the Self, to emerge into the new experience as the enlightened Self.

The obvious reality is that when a tool such as the Ascension Attitudes are mastered and used, it becomes useful to a purpose. The tool, in and of itself is not the cure to an ill but rather an aid within a prescription to effect a cure to what ails you. A cure in the sense that when you find what ails you is simply a misconception of your relationship with reality as it's disconnected from the Absolute, you use whatever you can to approach change thru intelligent choice. In this case it is a tool used in a disciplined action to take the mind into a direction towards a goal that already exists inside and all around you, but is simply ignored.

The Goal, for all who seek what they don't experience or have, is an unknown, to be discovered. For those who have a glimpse of something they want to create as a permanent experience, that experience may be achieved but then what? Is that it? Is it that what we seek to define ourselves by, the idea of the ultimate experience or ideal way of being? Is an experience really infinite, or bound within relative concepts? Are we the experience or the creator of experiences? What is the ultimate experience? Is there such a thing?
Many imagine within the stories or myths of great Masters like Jesus or Buddha, that these individuals had reached an end of the road or the ultimate goal. Yet if the infinite had an end, it wouldn't be infinite...

I can tell you from my own experience that any preconceived Idea about what you will experience or know in any future, will be laden with the thoughts, beliefs and experiences you have now. There can be intuitive insight but it's still going to be tied to your current state of mind and all of its beliefs. The only way you can have a new experience is to completely lay down the one you are currently having. Then, will there be room for more.

The ultimate goal of humanity is enlightenment. Period. However it is not an end to relative definitions of life, but rather the expansion of definitions beyond relative boundaries, or the release of the mind as it tries to hold onto any single definition.

What the intellect, or the emotional body attaches itself to in reference to what any goal is or means, will not be the end result or goal. It will simply be an idea one reaches or projects until the desire is fulfilled, and then there will be a desire for something else. Maybe something greater or more expanded. Maybe not.. who knows.
As long as there is the infinite potential there will never be an end to possibilities. Whether one moves toward expansion or contraction will be according to their familiarity with the ego and the Ascendant, and whether they can tell the difference between the qualities that are in the experiences of either.

Each time we discover that the infinite potential still exists when we surmise we haven't captured the infinite in any experience or idea, we will have to take a new form to experience something different. No thing, lasts forever, and there is no best idea of the infinite or enlightenment.

What's it like to hear the frequencies of sound that dogs hear? What's it like after you die as a human being in the meat sack you call self, or to experience what life is before you are born? What is it like to experience multiple realities at the same time when your awareness is in a thousand places at the same time? Such descriptions have been given to Brahman Consciousness.
I'll bet there are a lot of people who are sure of what the answers are and maybe some even have an idea what it is like to reach the goal they are not yet living. But I'm also sure that if they are not experiencing what is being spoken of, that there is some projection from the subjective subconscious mind within the thoughts that may not be the reality of the actual multidimensional experience. Sort of like imagining what it is like to have sex before you actually experience having sex... Or telling yourself and your friends as a child, what your gonna be when you grow up...
The reality that the goal for all of humanity being enlightenment, is not necessarily the goal of the individual in a single lifetime.
What does that mean?

It means the relative feeling Heart of each individual is not necessarily pointed towards its Union with Spirit, or the infinite All That Is in every moment. Some need to make some stops along the way to prepare themselves for the comprehension and experience of enlightenment. You wouldn't give the car keys to a 3 year old and turn them loose on the freeway. You'd give them a chance to gain some co-ordination of mind and body and when they were ready, teach them how to engage the car and the road with understanding and experience.
What then is the goal of enlightenment?

One can only know, by achieving liberation from the attachments to relative idealism.

A way of being where mind is supreme and above all relative qualities. Infinite, unbounded, without limits.

A freedom where thought is realized as the creative impulse that generates all experiences, and where one does not become lost in the experience but instead witnesses them with pure joy. Joy being lighter than happiness or the attachments to emotional impulses that can determine your happiness or sadness. Joy that includes all feelings, even sadness. One can experience sadness but still realize the joy that exists in the potential that will take sadness into greater experience and evolving experiences that create expansion of consciousness.

Imagine if you were on a roller-coaster and didn't know how you got there as opposed to making the decision to go ride the roller coaster at the amusement park. This is what happens when you lose the awareness of will, and of consciousness as it is in reality. From the immortal soul it's just a thought of a ride and the choice to extend the Self into the experience. It lasts for an instant, a blink of an eye.
To the ego immersed in the illusion of separation from the consciousness that created the ride and the vehicle to experience it, it can be a nightmare, an idea of reality that has permanence.

When we see and experience life from the subjective belief system of the ego in separation, we see it as a thing that has a power or force separate from us. When we see it from the perspective of consciousness in Unity, it flows from us like a river. We are at its source, while expanding outward into the experience of being the river. How that manifests in the experience is unique to the individual perspective, but understood by all that do experience regardless of individual descriptions.

Whenever you see life as anything other than flowing from you as its source (the ascendant), you are likely to be living with illusion, where filters of belief distort the experience of Unity and the truth that is superior to all relative truths. The desires of the heart bound to a waking state ego, are usually filtered thru personal beliefs. The goals of that heart are temporary. They are stops along the path of changing ideas of fulfillment. The Heart of the Soul knows no reason and it draws you towards expansion with the Universe regardless of circumstance. The Heart of the ego is cautious and created with fear. The mind led by this heart moves only by reason.

Whenever you see anything or anyone doing something that you think is right or wrong (subjectively) you are observing your judgments, while standing outside of the awareness of your source. The same source of whatever you are projecting judgment upon.

Human integrity is such a strange animal. It is the attachment to a point of view. It is not infinite, but rather finite. Integrity is always based on ideals, not the infinite potential.
Ego always divides the infinite into finite reasoning where God/Good has to be separate from Evil and all dark forces.
From the awareness of the Self as the Ascendant there is no such thing, there is only the Ascendant, or the reflection of it.

Following the heart from the ego's standpoint is always relative to ideals, surrounded by fear and the beliefs in success and failure. Generally speaking it is relative to what is pleasing to the senses. Particular to belief and the judgments or restrictions that are limited to the individual egoic identity, is mortality, fear of pain and death.
The "I am human, I am Russian, I am man or woman, I am this or that.., I like and I don't like, this is me that is you, this is my experience that is your experience" etc. etc.....
Commitment

I'm reminded of what a runner experiences when facing each day with the choice to train. Do I train today or not. If I don't feel like it do I lose what I have gained with the training I have done so far? What if I take a few days off? What if I go off my diet and go out to have a few beers. Surely I can take what I have gained and maintain it without training for a day or so..
If the runner had a coach, the coach would be all over those thoughts with the words, "laziness does not get one to the goal" and "any thought of the days feelings is not the thought of the goal, It is just the mind following a thought." Take a few days off and the guy that trains every day will have the advantage.

Any master knows that diligence is the key to mastery. If you want to be an accomplished musician you practice. If you want to achieve a degree you study. If you want to experience full human consciousness then that goal requires a commitment, regardless of how you feel. And I guarantee you will not feel the same thing every day. I don't have to tell you that.

You might think you feel the same thing about a goal, but how you approach it every day will include all kinds of thoughts and feelings. About 100,000 thoughts,.. and all the feelings that come with following any one of those thoughts.
Unless you discipline the mind towards the goal of immersion into the absolute, these thoughts and feelings will be the habitual road to distraction I mentioned earlier.
Without the discipline, or awareness on what is in the forefront of the mind (be it feeling, thought or awareness of the ascendant) and the awareness of choice, the mind will lazily follow the unconscious habit of identifying with the ego and its idea of the personal reality as it wanders and follows allthoughts, rather than the thought of the goal or source of Self and all experiences.
That unconscious reality is not the Universal reality of enlightenment as it is taught and described as liberation from the Masters point of view, to the suffering individual. That is the subjective reality of the waking state, where judgments and attachments to identity are the filters of the heart.

That is the domain of the ego.

Imagining the world was flat never made it so.

So why would imagining enlightenment thru the filters of illusion create the real thing?

The goal of enlightenment will elude anyone who judges where they are going by their experience outside of enlightenment, as long as they are not experiencing all life flowing from themselves as the source/Ascendant. The goal of enlightenment will elude anyone who feels their heart must be aligned with a pleasant experience rather than the goal, for the goal is beyond all feelings or sense of rights or wrongs. It is superior to duality. True liberation is beyond any definition of humanity that the ego can create where it becomes something, anything, or nothing at all. The ego cannot imagine liberation or enlightenment into creation, because it is constantly changing and rearranging its ideals, and its subjective evils in the personal system of measure based on the temporary experiences, and that is the opposite of enlightenment.

No matter what your approach. If you have taken on any relative idea, be you a teacher of Ascension or an Ascender, whoever you are, on whatever path you want to place yourself on, if you are not experiencing yourself as the source of creation (the ascendant) in all your experiences, you are living with an illusion of separation, subject to changing ideals.

If you are not experiencing yourself as the ascendant and the source of all that you experience, and you choose to dictate to others how one should live their lives, inclusive of what is right or wrong with the way a person lives their life, then you are caught in an illusion. Your ego rules your sense of reality in separation through judgment, created by the personal belief in reality, not universal mind or the reality of Self beyond duality.

However no matter how enlightened the Teacher, there is no guarantee that any student will grasp what the teacher has to offer, and there is no guarantee an individual can be a student.
No Teacher can give anyone enlightenment, and no Teacher can take free will from any person. Anyone claiming to be able to give someone enlightenment or to be able to get you enlightened is not necessarily gonna get the job done. I remember MSI saying once, "hang around me long enough and you will get enlightened, 'cause I'm one ruthless son of a bitch."
Long enough wasn't meant to be a statement that included just anyone. His short time on Earth as a Teacher of Ascension in this life was meant to inspire many, but not so many got to know him personally, nor just how ruthless he was or what he meant by what he said.

Tools do not build the house. The house is built by those who know how to use the tools.

There are householders, who have never gone to teacher training with more innocence than some of those who have been to Teacher Training. The ones who grow the fastest are those who have come to Ascension with an open mind and are willing to go beyond the beliefs that create separation and suffering and hold no beliefs in what their enlightenment looks like.

No one goes anywhere on their own, and no one expands their consciousness without dedication and commitment. These are simple facts built into the world that was created by you, just as you created a difference in black and white, or hot and cold.
Unless you have achieved a goal there is no understanding and you have no business trying to preach the goal of understanding. Unless you have reached the goal you have no real understanding to determine whether another has reached the goal you have no familiarity with. In the realm of belief, one man's goal is another man's idea of delusion.

"I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me."
The ego can never surrender to anything but that which is collected in reference to identity with the physical world, and what it identifies with as its physical self thru the experiences created in belief.

The self (waking state ego) is psychologically the collection of experiences and ideas of belief which one relates to (I am the sum of my experiences kinda thing). Not the experiences of all of humanity and of all generations throughout time and space, past present and future. But rather the personal opinions, of the personal experiences of the past.
So the intellect ruled by the ego, is not one of universality and combined experiences, but instead limited to the single experience, and the beliefs created from the individual perspective.

The quote, taken from John 5:30 of the King James version of the Bible, refers to the will of the universal mind. The mind saturated in Unity with all that IS, or the Ascendant Self. The Self that is flowing within the present manifest reality like water flowing in a river toward the ocean. It is connected to its source and its goal and all points in between. It is omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent.

The mind saturated in awareness of the Ascendant sees all goals as reflections of the source. From the perspective of that mind, all multidimensional realities can be known.
If Samyamah was the effect to a process, it would be likened to the awareness in stillness as the source, drawing the object of attention back into ones Self to reveal the course of the river and outcome(s). Outcomes because there are always possibilities that no direction has a finite end in the manifest. Outcome, because regardless of relative endings, all possibilities never leave the Ascendant and are seen in the experience as returning to source.

MSI mentioned in the interview that became the "Sedona Journal Article" (referenced at the beginning of this long article I'm writing), that some of us have remembered that we are multidimensional beings. He was referring to those who have awakened to the experience of being the source of all that is created, both the creator/source and the goal.
There is only One path to Enlightenment, no matter what name you want to give it. It is the path to the source and goal of all that is. The Ascendant. It's not really even a path, but more of an awakening to what is always there. There is no distance from anyone to the Ascendant, it is all that is.
"The simple guiding principle is this: if we are sowing division, preaching (the reality of) destruction, seeking or finding evil in the world (even if we are looking for it with the intention of removing it!), then we are part of the problem, not the cure." -MSI-

What you focus on grows. Without the knowledge or experience that all you survey was/is created by you (you being the Ascendant), all problems you seek to resolve within your own stress of separation then becomes the fuel to burn the separation more deeply into the beliefs of the ego.
You are all of the 7 billon people on this planet.

You are the One consciousness that creates all of this.

You cannot find resolution or an end to possibility in the experience (any experience) for all that you survey. NoThing, no Experience is superior to the infinite Ascendant.
Most likely, if you are at odds with the very things that you experience(d) in your own life, you will be at odds with the things that occur in other peoples' lives as you see them.
Until you resolve all conflicts with your personal reality, you will never ever come close to resolving any conflict outside of yourself.
More importantly, you will not be qualified to determine how anything should or would look, without the ability to see the interconnectedness of all things and how they can create something much bigger than your present experience of life.

No matter how much you would like to rearrange it (reality) to meet your ideas of good better or best, as you would wish to replace God in all of its omnipotent, omniscient omnipresence, there will be no foundation in anything that is permanent in your awareness, without the awareness of the Ascendant as the reality of all things.

You can never know for sure what the final outcome of any event is, or, whether any event or experience serves the whole in its evolution to enlightenment, if you are not yourself enlightened and ONE with all that is.

Once you have surrendered all ideals. You will come to know there is no such thing as a final outcome. You will also know that everything is connected and serves the whole, as it is.. in the reflection of life that is the river of duality. Once you know the river and the perfection of its creation, you will become consciously connected to its direction and its flow, without continually scrambling to stop yourself from moving with its current by grasping for the rocks and brambles of the imagined shoreline.

Vancouver awaits.....
