I don't know if this has ever been noted before, but was just browsing around the set lists on The Hip's website, and came across a list of unreleased songs. I don't think there's anything to read into this - I think it's just a by-product of the setlists that are included for the various shows and a need to categorize the songs into albums, but thought it was interesting nonetheless...

A number of the songs have lyrics listed too if you click on the song link. I don't think there's anything revelatory in here, but it's neat to see the list.

A handful of them got renamed and recorded later, and were initally played on tours before they were released. Drip Drip fits here. I saw You're Everywhere and it was introduced as The Ballroom. There seems to be a few more in there where that might apply.

I just came across a bootleg I have (and likely got through this site) of a show from Kanata in 1996 that has a version of At the Hundredth Meridian with Poets, You See Details, Purple Paint, The Wreck of the Low Income Housing and possibly some other tidbits mixed in. If someone has somewhere they suggest uploading the MP3 to I'm happy to share it. It's incredible!!
