I caught a hip tour promotion commercial twice on tv this am (sportsnet)...and towards the second half, it had a new tune in the background...was tough to make out but was a nice tease...not sure if anyone else caught it

Before.

I do believe that it was written before, but its so strange/eery how In a World Possessed by the Human Mind seems on the surface to echo someone getting a diagnosis of some sort, with a partner by their side - and then entering a part of the world where all discussions are about the mind. Cant help but think of Gord when I hear it. That and its such a tight song - drums lead in and the guitar parts ever so slightly building up.

When I first heard Tired As Fuck I kind of thought about alcoholism by way of desperation at a situation you feel you cannot climb out of.

I've been waiting for it to leak since the release date was announced, as I'm sure most of us have. Any chance to listen to it early, you can bet I'm gonna take it. And before the piracy police jump all over me, let it be known that I too am buying both the CD and vinyl on release day.

Ive got the album on pre-order and added in Apple Music on my phone, ready as soon as its released.

Got to admit when I first hear Tired as F* I wasn't a fan - first listen only, even before the news it only took a few listens more to "get it". The band is so tight on it - laid back groove but it sounds like a band that's well in tune with each other, just grooving along on a bit more of a chilled tempo - and nailing it as they would a rockier song. Comfortable in their own skin, as it were.

I would also take a listen early. I bet they will stream it the Monday of the release week anyway, so really we probably have less than a week to go until we can all enjoy it. I am very eager to listen to this album though, more than any other upcoming release. I love when The Hip release a record pre-summer. I am very sad about Gord as well, and since the news I have been listening to nothing but TTH.

Even if it does end up leaking, I won't be listening to it until the day it comes out. Really looking forward to it, though at the same time it is obviously very bittersweet knowing this might be the last new Hip album we ever get.

So I have have the album. Please dont PM me asking for a copy because I wont contribute to its leak.....I just posted to say that the production is pretty great. My opinion, it is very Day for Night. No major rockers, but some really good material with production that compliments it. Track #1 - Man- is prob my fave right now.
