Hey gang I'm a long-time fan from the Philadelphia area and was planning a road trip to Toronto #2 with the wife, but unfortunately we were shut-out for tickets. I was just wondering, if you were unable to get tickets, what are you planning on doing now? Among fans who got shut-out, are you in the "I''ll find a way" camp or resigned to not getting to a show? I've seen this band too many times to walk away now, but the logistics of planning a trip from where I live (along with the cost of tickets on resale sites) are prohibitive. Are people keeping fingers crossed that more tickets get released, checking StubHub, eBay, or what? This sucks.

I am in the 'I will find a way in for face value' camp - and that's for the Kingston show. Where there's a will there's a way. Just be patient, keep checking TM, and whatever you do, don't feed the machine by giving in to the resellers!

The first thing I do when I get to work I open the Kingston show's Ticketmaster page and monitor it constantly. If anything pops up for me I'll buy immediately, then get them to my friends who got shut out (I have a single for the show). I got extraordinarily lucky in the presales and got all four shows I was after, so now I'm trying for people who weren't as lucky.
Also I'm a robot.

I dunno, there's the rub: there isn't anything that leads me to believe more tickets are going to magically appear on TM. I was online at 10am the day of the presale, the day of the LiveNation presale, and finally the general on sale, and came up with zippo. Even if more tickets DO get released, I'm pessimistic about my chances. And because of the demand, I'm also not sure ticket prices on StubHub, etc. are going to really drop. I'm guess I'm just bummed about being put in a position to either pay the going rate or don't go at all.

Ha yeah thanks Scotty. This is an investment beyond just the tickets -- it's a hotel, renewing passports, travel costs, and so on. I used to think how cool it was to see Canadian fans at places like the TLA in Philadelphia or Irving Plaza in NYC travel and make a night/weekend of seeing this band, and I'm trying desperately to do the same. The idea of staying patient regarding tickets sounds good in theory, I just don't want to be on the outside looking in when it comes down to it.

I'll be really surprised if the seats behind the stage in Hamilton don't go on sale at some point - seems crazy if they don't

behind the stage tickets held for sale until the day before the show? Usually some tickets released for most concerts in the 48 hours before the show... is that another way to beat the scalpers? (little time to sell on stubhub). Wishful thinking, I'm sure.

I've got a concept that may help get some of those who have tickets get in the door for the concerts. If you're hoping for a hail mary, PM me and I'll tell you my idea!

Not sure if it will happen for these shows, but FC shows what I suspect were held back as platinum seats appeared in the regular sale about one week before the show. For Kingston I upgraded from seats in the stands to 4th row floors.
