I was able to score 3 for the Calgary #2 show in the presale - great seats section 107 row 7.... I was shut out for the first show pre-sale and shut out today for the normal sale for Calgary #1.

Glad I got 2 in the presale for Edmonton #1. Was trying for a pair for Edmonton #2 in the regular sale and couldn't even pull a single ticket after trying pretty stead for close to an hour after the sale started.

Definitely happy I got to go to at least 1 show. I wanted to go to more but well I wasn't as lucky as some of you.

I ended up getting two pairs for victoria with the fan club code. I actually pulled up four pairs over the course of the week. I originally pulled up row 35 for Victoria on the floor. I'm 6'2 and even I can't see anything from the back of the floor. I kept searching with them in my cart but eventually they timed out. Then I pulled up row D in the back corner which I bought (I'd rather be 4 rows up in the bowl and see over everyones heads, than back of the floor). Then an hour later someone posted in these forums that they just bought Vic tickets. I did another search and got Row N (14?) side stage. I bought those and sold the first pair to my coworker (at face value of course).
I also figured out the Amex presale code for Victoria was AMEX. We don't don't use ticketmaster. There's a ticketing system we use called Select Your Tickets (I think Kelowna uses it too). About 10 minutes after the Amex Presale started I looked and spotted row 13 on the floor. I already had 4 presale tickets (and the website said presales were limited to 4 total). I have no idea how advanced the ticketing system is. I still wonder had I not hit the max if it would of let me finish the order.
Short version. I did ok in the presales. I had an exam today so I never tried in the regular sale. I do know Victoria is one of the smaller venues on the tour, so I I think I had a little luck (and tenacity) on my side.

I'm amazed at how many people scored tickets. Great work everyone! I've been buying tickets for high-demand shows for 15 years and have never been shut-out like this before. I thought I knew the system, but it beat me this time. :?

My friend was in a panic on Monday, bought StubHub tickets, ended up getting better tickets on Tuesday, so he reposted.
He received this:
Quote:StubHub Seller,
Please be aware, the primary ticketing source announced that they are actively looking for buyers who purchased over the ticket limit for Tragically Hip and may be revoking those tickets.
If you purchased multiple sets of tickets, please check your account status and tickets to make sure they’re still valid. If you’re not the original purchaser, be sure you’re only buying from reputable sources and check back with them to ensure that the tickets you purchased are still valid. If you have any concerns about the validity of your tickets, please remove your unsold listings or contact us immediately about your sales.
Additionally, access to some electronic (PDF) tickets is being delayed by the primary ticketing source until two days before the events. In order to ensure you can fulfill your sales on time, we’ve adjusted our fulfillment expectations for electronic (PDF) tickets as follows:
If your tickets were listed as NOT IN-HAND: we’ve adjusted your in-hand date (the date you said you would be able to fulfill) to two days before each event. Tickets sold with in-hand dates of two days before the events must be fulfilled within 24 hours before each show.
If your tickets were listed as IN-HAND: Your listing hasn’t changed. If you do not have your tickets yet, you must login to your StubHub account to edit your in-hand date as soon as possible.
Unsold electronic (non-Instant Download) listings will remain active on the site up until 40 hours prior to events, giving you additional time to upload your PDFs for Instant Download after you’ve received them, before you listing would normally expire.
Tickets listed with UPS fulfillment methods have not been changed. Sales via UPS must be fulfilled within 1 business day of your in-hand date.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.
Sincerely,
StubHub Customer Service

So this means those who exceeded the 4 ticket per show maximum are having tickets 5+ revoked?

Hopefully that is the case but I am not counting on it. My of the ticket agents are using many credit cards to purchase the tickets probably all under different names so I am sure nothing will change unfortunately. But I will keep checking periodically, as you never know

Managed to score a single (15th floor) for Ottawa in the pre-sale. Tried for Kingston during the pre-sale and yesterday but no luck. Debated Platinum on Monday but seemed outrageous - now, the price actually looks kinda reasonable.

Calgary 1 - 2
Toronto 2 - 1
Toronto 3 - 2
Kingston - 1
4/4 - gonna limit myself to four shows, but might call an audible on Toronto 1.

Managed to get two tickets each for Toronto 2 and Toronto 3 on the fan club presales. Both tickets were bought well after 10am (15 minutes past for Toronto 1 and nearly an hour past for Toronto 2). I posted about it at the time in another thread but I will say that there were A LOT of tickets coming up for Toronto 3 an hour to an hour and a half after the presale started when a lot of people had stated they had given up including several pairs of really good side stage tickets. Persistence and not giving up it seems was key for snagging those presale tickets. The general public sale was a joke.
