I've wondered the same thing.
First of all, I think this tour as a whole will be oriented to the 'greatest hits.' A last hurrah, raging against the dying of the light. (I stand to be corrected - or shouted down - but Gord's condition affects language and memory, right? It might prove challenging for him to dredge up 'deep cuts' and rarities of the sort the hard-core fans always crave).
But the final song of the final tour - that's something else. In fact, it might turn out to be the SECOND last song that really matters. Downie will probably want to leave the stage on a high. So it could be a 'big closer' like Blow at High Dough. Real closure will be secured by that second-to-last number.
'Long Time Running' is my odds-on choice too, for the song that plays that leave-taking role.
I think a dark horse candidate might be 'We Want to Be It.' A wonderfully defiant way to end it. 'Leave' would be a remarkable choice, but of course they never play it, so it's wildly implausible. 'Emperor Penguin' could do very well too.
A friend of mine suggested 'Done and Done.' I will be absolutely shocked if that song makes an appearance on this tour. Some things cut TOO close to the bone.

Would be something if every show ended with something super rare that never gets played out.

While I think a safe bet would be Blow At High Dough with a "Down at the speedway / Same Tragically Hip thing" adlib, that isn't my vote. Given that it's Kingston and it's (likely) the last time, I want it to be Get Back Again.

Smalltown Bringdown - I thought blow, leave on a high note. Get Back Again would be a pretty awesome tune to break out.

I would like them to open with NOIS and not play the last verse until the last song and close with that. But my prediction is Blow At High Dough for all shows which is also awesome.

My prediction for final song is Blow at High Dough ("out at the speedway, same Tragically Hip thing...."). But Get Back Again would be awesome and somewhat poignant ("be alright 'til we get back again"). On a related note, the band's management said they were ready to "blow people's minds." What does everyone think that means? Are they going to play Highway Girl and Get Back Again? Play 30 songs per night? Or will our minds be blown just by the fact that they're doing this tour at all?
