'Tired As F***' released May 6th.

I like the song, especially the lyrics and the may and june, this lake of gin parts. on the other side, truly wished people would not critique. i mean, what is a critic right? let's enjoy this band and the directions they take us and enjoy all of the moments that they have shared with us. we will all be sad and celebrating soon. so enjoy.

Something that makes your ears work? If you haven't 'heard God rustlin' around in the bushes' and thought that it was 'a little Super-Dangerous' then maybe you're taking life a little too seriously or are too far into the city. I agree with a previous post here that 'Tired As f**k' sounds a bit like 'Gems'. I agree it's a bit of a different second release, but I think the vibe of the song in with Gord's poetic take on raising a young family is the most affordable Mother's or Father's Day gift going.

Why is that? Is it because not everyone worships everything that the band puts out? "Tired as F*ck" is an awful, cluttered, unfinished mess of a song. "Possessed" has some decent elements that are ultimately ruined by the drum section.

This whole idea of judging what a "real" fan is really amuses me.

Also amusing: The idea that one's opinion is fact.

Ehhh...it's a song. Nothing special, not terrible. It's just sort of there.

I'm getting worried that the entire album will be like that. Not too excited by World Possessed and TAF (albeit I've only had time to listen to it once) came across even more mundane. I need to listen to it more but I hope the rest of the songs grab me more than these first two; and this is coming from someone who loves their "non-rocking" songs as much as their rocking tunes (Dark Canuck, Escape, Flamenco, Gems are some of my favourite tunes).

I'm enjoying this song more and more every time I listen to it. Reminds me of songs like Thompson Girl, As I Wind Down the Pines, or Stay. Just a pleasant little acoustic number to give the album a couple of minutes to breathe perhaps? I like it.

TAF sounds like a prototypical 'album' cut - a solid song to be slowly unfolded as the listener, having initially focused on the more striking songs, starts to dig deeper into the record's riches. That's what makes it such an odd choice for a second release. It has a very minimal melody and no chorus to speak of. I agree that if THIS song is a highlight of the new album, that's worrisome. But as an album cut per se, it's solid.

After one listen, this one is a bit of a departure, which I LIKE....I am all for the Hip exploring newer avenues. I must say.....I'm humming "tired as fuck"....as I write this. I really dig the adventurous music. The guitar play is fun and the production is interesting enough. My concern here is the use of Gords unique vocals. This song is an example of production that (dare I say) Bob Rock could've helped with, especially Downie's delivery. Gord's "hotel" voice would be really good here IMO. It's a jazzy little ditty that need's less delay, more whisper and more compression on Downie's voice. Gonna listen a few more times....

Weird how they keep taking down the video from Youtube.

The balloon part reminds me of something that I can't put my finger on.

Saved -- from the Conquering Sun album. The pant leg line. Ahhhhhhhhhh sweet relief. Finally figured it out.

Even more amusing, I suppose, is one's imagination. If you could point to anything at all that points to me declaring my opinion to be fact, I would be much obliged.

I think some of us here should talk again about how goddamn beautiful this song is.

I just listened to this five times in a row, and I can't believe we are about to get a whole new album right now.

Loved on the 3rd spin :music

I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!
