A bit underwhelmed here,a week of waiting after the Bowie letdown,and no album till mid June with another short track listing and most likely under 40 minute duration.I just figured we were getting the product now.still will be my summer soundtrack so thankful for that, most likely a few summer fest shows and fall/winter tour. Would've preferred the whole album — but the 'In A World Possessed By The Human Mind' is a very encouraging lead single. It'll be worth the wait.

First off, the single is great. I'm on my 3rd listen, and it's an absolutely fantastic song. Best single they've released in years in my opinion.

But what the hell?? We have to wait until June 17th for an album that was finished almost a year ago? What a bummer. And strangely, their label is repeating the same mistake they made with NFPA where the single is released way too far ahead of the album. Any momentum or hype gained from the single will be long gone by the time the record hits the shops in late June. Just another dumb release strategy by the Hip and their management/label.

Their albums aren't released on Universal is the U.S., unfortunately.

If in the US, buy an iTunes Canada gift card online and use it to open an account in the iTunes Canada store. There is a bunch of stuff by Canadian artists you can get there that is not available in the US store.

The first song on the album is called Man. The last is called Machine. I guess they liked the name enough to use it for the album.
