As most have noticed this tour appears to be free of Gord D. playing guitar. Is it safe to assume we won't hear certain beloved tunes where he always has the acoustic in hand?

Springtime originally didn't have a guitar. I think he added it for the IBE tour in 2004. I'm pretty sure it was the only tour he played it on.

GD's guitar playing is as unique as his singing and stage antics...However, his guitar has always been mixed low in the mix. I'm pretty sure nearly everything in the Hip catalog would be fair game (except a couple of tunes on WATS ie Depression Suite, Honey Please...etc). As a side note...I find it really interesting how Downie re-invents his stage persona each tour. From his stage banter to his looks to his antics. This should be an entire thread in my opinion....
