Yep, with Rogers I think CBC HD is channel 128 or something like that.
Wait until you see a football game in FoxHD. Best HD I've ever seen! Oh, and the best HD I've ever seen for a concert DVD is The Eagles Farewell Tour concert.

Hockey in HD is very good - but it is hit and miss between networks and arenas.

Golf is almost always very good in HD.

Football in HD is the best. I'm not a footbal fan, but it sucks me in when I flip to a game in HD.

Enjoy!

Baseball is really sweet in HD too...you can actually see what the fans put on their hot dogs....now if I can only find that homeless degenerate crack-addict sonofabitch that walked into my house and stole my 47" plasma a few months back I might be able to join you in watching the Raptors game tonight in beautiful High Def...remember to lock your doors sportsfans!!!!

I also have had a HDTV for 3 years now.
And I just last month got the HD box.
I actually sit here and watch "Sunrise Earth" on an HD channel.
And it is just what it sounds like - just pictures of sunrises - but god damn does it look great.

Everyone with HD, do yourselves a favour, and rent "March Of The Penguins". I don't care if you've allready seen it! Watch it again!

Yes.

The only way that you might see an improvement in picture quality is if you get a 720x576 anamorphic DVD and watch it on an anamorphic TV versus a 720 x 480 DVD.

It's about a year since I bought my HDTV (50" Samsung DLP), and I got the HD box hooked up just in time for last year's Grey Cup. I would agree that once you see that HD picture (especially for hockey and football) there is no way you can live without it.

If you're asking about hockey games, yes CBC does show the early game in HD...wait, I should rephrase that, CBC does show the *censored* Leaf games in HD...

I've noticed a few of the late games have been in HD this year as well - the ones from Edmonton have been.

Just because it was filmed in HD doesn't mean you are watching i in HD on an HD TV, it is still 480i on a DVD player Unless you have HD-DVD or Blue Ray DVD and HD-DVD version of the Concert as well, then it is in HD.

I think Hockey is the worst sport in HD, the CBC coverage is brutal. TSN is a bit better.

I'm almost into my 3rd year with HD, have trouble watchin anthing else.
