The show in Edmonton is part of Interstellar Rodeo. It's a fantastic festival and they're headlining the last night.

Can't stop listening to this album. I would argue it's better than the last 4 Hip albums, and it's slowly becoming my favorite Gord solo project since Coke Machine Glow. Of course the Sadies are brilliant songwriters in their own right and their contribution cannot be overlooked. Awesome record!

After listening for about a week, I agree with everybody here. It's a fantastic listen. Time will tell if this surpasses The Grand Bounce for me.

As for better than any recent Hip release...? I can't see my opinion ever swaying that way... but who knows. Time continues to surprise!

To me everything that the hip do outside the hip are just different, and I personally cannot compare the 2nd. When the hip get together and create something together the end results are so unique and totally Hip .weather or not it meets up to a fans standard with each album and to say paul and gord stuff is Better than the hips music seems weird its just 2nd totally different entities completely fully...

I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!

Man I'm digging this album. Fusion rock n roll. You Can't really genre it - especially live. Songs were definitely extended live with country bluesy rifts, long pauses, and high drops. Album art is wicked too. Got the vinyl - Only recognize a few famous faces on it with the band dispersed throughout. Could spend time gazing into it lol. Single - crater - kicks ass. Hard and fast opener. They opened up Peterborough with this too. "it didn't start to break my heart " (current fav). The venue itself was aweosme. Floor was spacy for the first few then packed in tight with time. Wicked sound. I was even right beside the speaker. Looking forward to the next one. Probably being picnic festival.

I'm not digging this as much as seemingly everybody else—I was hoping they'd go the jangly, alt-country route—but it's nice to hear some positivity after the Hip's dismal showings of late, and I'm still interested in hearing the songs live.

I made the trip down to Cambridge, Mass for the show last saturday. I really like the new album. The songs are really rocked up from the album versions and so much better live. All the acoustic parts on the album were played electric. Doug Paisley opened with a good set. Very mellow. Similar to John Prine just Doug and a guitar. Total contrast from when Gord + The Sadies hit the stage and opened with Crater. The whole stage had the album cover projected on it throughout the first song. Gord had his own stage light for the rest of the show with a cord and a flexible stand that he would bounce up and down during the instrumental parts. He was really into it and you could tell he was really into the new songs. The bartender at the venue said they sold 150 tickets for the show but I doubt there were that many people there. Someone was taping the show but I haven't seen it posted anywhere yet. The show was worth the trip and I'll be seeing them again in Fredericton at Harvest.
