One of the BEST parties I’ve EVER been to is the Bridle Bash. It’s held at a friends private residence on the Bridle Path and brings together and awesome group of people, partiers, and musical guests. This year, THE TRAGICALLY HIP are playing in the ravine backyard for about 800 guests. It’s going to be so freaking awesome!

Tickets for BBV can be purchased here and start at $500 each. All the money goes to the Bridle Bash Foundation which supports an array of charities and events in the city of Toronto. For more info on the bash visit the event website here. - See more at: http://casiestewart.com/the-tragically- ... uPpmS.dpuf

F that. I'd love to see them in an intimate venue but I wouldn't spend $500 I don't have to hang out with people who spend more on their animals than I make in a year.

(but I'd totally go if someone were willing to pay Wink)

Same setlist for most shows, ticket prices rising above average ... have been playing shows at wineries & now backyards in the bridle path. Seems like a far cry from the Tragically hip I got into.

I debated whether to post about the event as I had a feeling the complaints would come fast as furious. As for the price - it's a fuckin charity event!!! The idea is to raise money for charity by having a party. I bet The Hip aren't even getting paid. If you didn't want to buy a ticket you could collect donations and if you raised $1000 you got a ticket.

Lastly $500 is within the reach of most working folks. Skip your morning stop at Timmy's for a few months, scale back on the cigs, pass on a couple of nights out at the local watering hole to instead go to a cool event in a setting many will never ordinarily get to experience.

I'm going and plan to have a blast.

Chris, Have fun nice to see the hip in a small venue plus the money going to charity. I am so jealous, please give a review.

Not only do I agree with Chris, I'm also wondering if he should consider becoming a financial advisor. Kinda laid it all out for us right there.

How loud was it? Was there a full stage with the lights?
Was there free drinks? Food? What kind of "socialites" were there?

It was VERY LOUD. VERY. LOUD. The sound system was terrific, especially after the concert when DJ Joe Dert took over.

All the food and booze you could consume was included. Lots of security and cops on duty to keep everyone in line and safe.

The majority of the attendees looked and acted like regular joes, and I think that most were. There were definitely a few "party people" there, folks who live that party life. The only person of any fame that I saw or heard was there was Dean McDermott aka Mr. Tori Spelling.

There were a few mega wealthy folks there, but they aren't famous.

The party after the concert was surreal. Around the pool it was a scene from a movie - bikini girls in the pool, scantily clad girls dancing on the roof of the cabana, a famous DJ, lights and sounds like ive never seen before, etc.
