Well, let's see. He's the captain of the team, he scored 43 goals this season, and not too long ago he guaranteed they'd win the Cup.

And what did that translate into in the playoffs? A whopping two goals in 10 games (to go with the ONE he scored in 04), and the winning goal scored by the Sabres was because he let a guy who started the season in the minors whip past him (short handed no less) and didn't do a damn thing but wave his stick at him as he cut to the net. Sorry, but even if you have to tackle the guy, you don't give him a free pass to the net like that. Not with the season on the line.

If I was Muckler I'd be on the phone with every bottom feeder team on Monday morning, trying to unload the guy. It's pretty damn clear they aren't going to win with him. How much more talent does he need around him?

If the Sabres can handle the Ottawa' "D", they shouldn't have a problem with carolina, we did shut out Carolina in the season finale 3-0, with Biron in net, when carolina could have had the # 1 seed with a win. The Ducks are the only thing keeping us from the cup and we beat them too.

It's safe to say many heads are going to roll in Ottawa...most likely starting at the top. As storied a career as John Muckler has had, he has to be held accountable for this umpteenth early playoff demise. He brought in a new coach, he brought in an aging goaltender, he failed to bring in proper support for said aging goaltender when his dental floss groin exploded in the Olympics, he brought in Tyler Arnson at the trade deadline when all the Sens really needed was a PROVEN playoff-savvy veteran and none of these moves got the job done. The unfortnate thing is that it was a poor overall team performance that spelled the end of the Sens this year, but as the old saying goes you can't fire all the players.

Once Edmonton is out, if they're out, I'm shutting HNIC off until next season starts....and if all they show is Leafs games again, it might be shut off till next year playoffs

So my friend can pick between attending game 3 or 4 ---- I'm leaning more towards the 4th game in the hopes the Sabres are able to keep their A-game going on & rock carolina! What about you guys...# 3 or 4, which would you go for? I think he has till Wednesday to decide.

The Sharks were so close.....now they are so so so far.

I cannot wait to hear Rexall on Wednesday. It's going to be absolutely crazy.

I've been waiting a looooooooooong time for the Oilers to put together a team like this.

I am so happy.

Some of you guys are talking like the Sabres will be able to just walk over the Hurricanes, but i'm afraid it mightn't be that easy. The Hurricanes are playing very good right now, and they eliminated the Devils just as easily (easier actually) as the Sabres did the Sens, and this coming at a time when the Devils were riding a 15 game winning streak. It should be a good series and i think both teams have a chance. I think the Hurricanes will win it in 6 or 7, but i didn't do very well in the 2nd round Smile

The Devils rely on Broader to keep them in games. He simply let them down. NJ is not a high scoring team, they still play the trap! Carolina was lucky that they were able to get to him. Yor get past Broader, you beat the Devils, simple. Now compare Carolina to Ottawa. Sabres in 4 or 5. Sabres beat Carolina 4-0 in the seaon finale in Carolina with Biron in net! Miller and the Buffalo "D" are playing amazing! Lindy Ruff has these guys playing where they need to be.

But in that Carolina, Buffalo season finale, Carolina was playing Gerber in net and he pretty much fell aprt at the end of the season hence why Cam Ward is in net for them.

Sabres also lost the season series with carolina 3-1. It should be an interesting series, carolina in 6 or 7

Sabres didn't do too well againt Ottawa during the season either and it didn't matter. I don't see this to be as easy as the last 2 rounds. Caralina was scary silent good this year. I'm hoping the Sabres don't provide me w/some massive let down. Plus my sister live in in Raliegh and the last thing i wan't is to have to take shit from her Tongue
