Sometime shortly after midnight, "Now For Plan A" leaked on various torrent sites.
Use this thread to discuss the leak, post impressions, complain about Bob Rock, etc. Leave the non-spoiler folks unspoiled in the other thread, thanks.

I think it's a decent album and a great one to listen to if you are driving or chilling out, however I can't find too many tracks that the casual Hip fan would really enjoy besides at transformation and we want to be it. I'm really digging the trio of The Modern Spirit, About This Map, and Take Forever.

after one listen i think its a ton better than the last two albums. There are no songs i dislike which i regrettably cant say for the last two albums. in fact i think after a few more listens im gonna think this album is pretty great. the 2nd half is more rockier.
highlights for me where
man machine poem
we want to be it
now for plan a
the modern spirit
about this map
good night attawapiskat
now for plan a and modern spirit were the only two i actually listened twice before moving onto the next song i thought they were epic.

I haven't heard the album, but would say enjoy if for what it is. There will never be another Road Apples or Up To Here, in the same sense that there will never be another Sticky Fingers or Exile On Main Street.

I'm on my lunch break right now, finally getting a good listen. I already like it more than the last two albums, and I agree that the 2nd half is definitely more up-tempo. My first thoughts:
Man Machine, Now for Plan A, and We Want to Be It are f'n EPIC. Some of the best stuff they've ever done IMO.
Sarah Harmer's background vocals on The Lookahead and Plan A are absolutely heavenly.
The Modern Spirit is the catchiest thing on the album so far. Great song.
Attiwapiskat makes an excellent album closer. Beautiful soaring chorus, and I like the instrumental coda at the end.
At Transformation is vintage Hip. The grungy guitars, Gord's forceful, menacing delivery and killer lyrics. Rock n' f'n roll.
Streets Ahead is ok. It reminds me of In View, but with better lyrics.
Songs that need a few more spins before I fully weigh in:
About this Map
Take Forever
Done and Done
All in all, I'm really diggin' it so far. When I get home tonight I'm gonna put it on repeat, crack open a beer and just absorb it for a couple of hours.

Second listen was WAY better than the first. Def. give it two solid listens, and maybe don't run for 5 miles while doing it. This album has some serious potential!

Im not surprised it "leaked" I mean really, I cant remember the last time a band put out a single "At Transformation" a couple MONTHS before the album release.

You guys are making me feel a little more positive about the album now. It sounds like they may have released two of the weakest tracks as singles.
I look forward to listening to it.
