I'd be surprised if the single was on the radio before any album details are released... that doesn't make too much sense.
Releasing a single in May for an album due in 'September' certainly isn't common.... makes me think we might have something in our hands come Canada Day!

BIGVDOGG: This video is ATHM. Did you mean to post your Peterborough video of Transformation here instead. I see you posted Transformation in the "Best Live Version of Hundreth Meridian" thread. Just wondering.....

Transformation rocks! Thanks. Big Grin

Nice! At Transformation sounds great. I'm no wizard at transcribing but, hey, can anyone work out the lyrics?

Only what? My second visit? I like that there is a mobile version of the site! Awesome.

Seems like the Hip have chosen HNIC as their official go-to platform for releasing new singles. They've been doing this for quite a few years now, going back to '04 with "Vaccination Scar". Most bands these days either stream their new singles or put them up as a free download. The Hip on the other hand are still very old-school in the way they do things (debuting the song on TV, then releasing to radio). I don't know about the rest of you, but I haven't listened to commercial radio in years, and it surprises me that there are people out there who still do. Is it too late in the Hip's career to start embracing the Internet a bit more? Not that they haven't tried. The Live from the Vault thing started out brilliantly, but then they completely dropped the ball in regards to carrying it through. Anybody remember the Hip Club? Me neither.

Anyways, I love this band regardless, and I'm super excited to hear the new single. Can't wait for the album!

No better way to debut a song IMO....The Hip and hockey that is just the perfect combo....

want to be a nobody without peer
want to be a thought that's never done
want to shake your faith in human nature
want to break the hearts of everyone
want to be your wheezing screen door
want to be your stars of Algonquin
want to be your roaring floorboard
want to break the hearts of everyone

This is my shot in the dark,, I think its an amazing song, can't wait for HNIC

I see you breathe the mist by the morning sun
-I know the night for you can make you numb
-I want to be kind….
Not a poet in the right place
-maybe more of two minds
More important that importance
-I want to help you till you know these things
A pinch a sting I don’t feel a thing
--and as the earth revolved around the sun…..

I know those shadows bring in the last rights
To dream of you, I wish, here comes the night.
All the things you’re telling….pass on all those fibrulings
I only say this now because
I didn’t when it was there burning
-I want to help you till you know this fate
A pinch a sting I don’t feel a thing
As the earth revolved around the sun, I can see it all at once
Over looking every chance
In my head the nameless choir
And I can see it all at once
-?
-?
For in my head the nameless choir
Over looking every chance at Transformation
At transformations
Transformations
-?
-?
In my dream of being
Maybe you call this fate

I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!

I just checked my post in the Downsview Park section to see if this was the song I really thought was the standout of the three debuted last summer. It wasn't (it was Drip Drip, mostly because of the harmonies). However, I did say it kind of sounded like My Sharona. Interesting.

Also, S/T to MAv for quickly replying and correcting my tweet yesterday, while including my hellyes hashtag.
