Not to beat a dead horse but would it kill the promoter, band, mAV, anyone, to surrender a "seating plan", other than GA and VIP blither?

This lack of info is the antethesis of a fan club announcement.

I can guarantee you the VIP section will suck. Don't waste your money. Buy the GA tix and just stake out a spot near the soundboard with a decent view of the stage. The VIP section in Edmonton last year had short beer lines and nice bathrooms, but the view of the stage was absolute garbage. When I thought "VIP", I mistakenly assumed we'd be in some kind of cordoned off area either in front of the soundboard, or right in front of the stage. Boy was I wrong.

The option of flying Porter to New York/Chicago/Boston to see the Hip in a small club on multiple nights for close to the same price of fighting the 400 cottagers on the busiest long weekend of the year doesn't even seem comparable. I attended Downsview and Bobcaygeon last summer, and considering these shows will be very similar to those (same promoter, crowd size, douchebaggery level, set-list, etc.) I'm so ready for something new, but I will be patient.

Look for Porter to start offering specific Tragically Hip packages to some of these cities later this year...stay tuned

Does anyone know at what age kids would have to have tickets. Ours will be 4 and 6 this summer... Thanks.

I agree it would be nice to see at least a basic level of the VIP seating. But perhaps if we saw it, we wouldn't want to buy them. Smile

Im thinking that they have learned from the "vip" fiasco last summer that improvments will be made.

Email this morning says stayed tuned for more concert announcements in the next couple of days... :music

want to be a nobody without peer
want to be a thought that's never done
want to shake your faith in human nature
want to break the hearts of everyone
want to be your wheezing screen door
want to be your stars of Algonquin
want to be your roaring floorboard
want to break the hearts of everyone
