Deluxe Reissues!!!???

I'm hoping for that as well. They did a brilliant job mixing up the setlist on the WATS tour, so hopefully they'll do something like that again. I was pretty disappointed when they decided to play the exact same set every night on the 2011 summer tour. With a catalogue as deep as theirs, there's no way that kind of crap should be happening. That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed their Edmonton show on that tour despite it being a greatest hits show.

I felt the same way. The band was great that night (though not so much the Jersey Shore cast-offs that surrounded me). And I'd heard every single song that night live before (save for the new ones and LIAF). It had been four years since I'd seen them and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm stashing my pennies away for the upcoming tour. I'd prefer something a little smaller this time. Perhaps the Jube or the Winspear. Just please not Rexall.

That's fantastic news. I'm more excited about this than a new album. It's about damn time the b-sides were given a proper release. Dante, Blonde Solid, Skeleton Park, Montreal and Get Back Again might all be in my top 10 favourite Hip songs of all time, plus who knows what else may be included that we've never even heard of before. I bet there's some interesting outtakes from Music @ Work. I remember reading somewhere that they had enough songs to make a double album. Hopefully they do what Rush has recently done with their re-issues and package them into box sets to keep the cost down a bit if you were inclined to buy all of them.

This is very cool news (or I guess solid rumors). I'd like to be very wishful and think that maybe the band would indeed do a summer theater/multi-night tour again to support the re-issues. Maybe do the much-wished-for "album in its entirety" format!!! Maybe even play the outtakes and b sides!!! That would be SWEEEEET. All very hypothetical of course.

One point I'd like to throw out there is I have friends and kids (mine) who didn't experience the Hip like most of us did. Maybe they only dowloaded a few songs her and there from Itunes. This demographic is going to buy some of these re-issues too!

This may just be what other music people have told him, so take it as you will.

Not been in here a while - and returned to read this. Excellent. Smile
I wonder if they could include a remix of the whole of Fully Completely - same as the ones which they did for the FC tracks on Yer Favourites, getting rid of the over production.

I am sure they had many b-sides to each album, but remember that board that had the Tracklist for We Are The Same... Wasn't there like 27 tracks recorded for it. Even if it isn't FC or M@W, cool to hear all songs from every era.

This is awesome! However, I'd much rather buy a double CD or something (Like Pearl Jam's Lost Dogs) than buy every album again with extra tracks. Seems kind of silly to make our current album collections obsolete. Wouldn't that be better?

Man, you know what I'd love? I'm dreaming now:
Disc 1: EP, UTH, & RA Out-takes
Disc 2: FC, DFN & TATH Out-takes
Disc 3: PP, MAW & IVL Out-Takes
Disc 4: IBE, WC & WATS Out-Takes
Disc 5: Live unreleased songs

Would be EPIC. Confusedhock:

i'd just rather 2cd sets. disc 1 remastered album. disc 2 live songs, demos, rarities

i hope its not one of those remastered cd with 1 or 2 extra tracks

I am hoping that they include all the videos along with each CD.
Maybe they can have a special website you can go to and play the Hyper-CD and watch the videos. Confusedcratch:

If they had a special site, with Hyper-CDs, and a card signifying that I'm a member of an exclusive Club, I might literally EXPLODE! Literally!
