DAM GAS PRICES!!!!!

Ive noticed lately that the price of gas has been slowly climbing, and it finally broke the dollar mark (here in London,ON) after hovering around 89-95 for the last few months, I was hoping things would maybe get better or stay in that range. Then sure enough I read this..

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://ca.news.yahoo.com/cbc/s/12042006/3/business-brace-high-gasoline-prices-summer.html">http://ca.news.yahoo.com/cbc/s/12042006 ... ummer.html</a><!-- m -->

I was planning to do some serious travelling this summer, I have plans to drive up north for camping and to visit New York city. Plus with lots of potential Hip concerts on the horizon, this really sucks. I wont let this stop me, but Im sure not happy about it. :x :x

Imagine a world before the "beginning was the word.”

Yet another thing to add...I suppose I'm just having a pissy day.
The people who live downstairs and feel the need to BLAST terrible music at all hours despite repeated requests to turn down the volume. I hope their eardrums rupture. :rambo:

EDIT: It is now 1:45. I think I may go kill them all. *sigh* No sleep for Jenna tonight.

I hear ya. This fat fucking crack head who lives above me must be killed. First she stomps every fat fucking step she takes, she walks around her apartment constantly all night. And then 10:00 every night its time for her to rock the Bon Jovi, Shania, Nickelback etc loud enough to rattle my windows. Oh yea, her piece of shit van has no muffler so when she decides she needs more meth at 3 in the morning it sounds like hell is being unleashed right outside my window. Some people are alive only because it is illegal to kill them. I need to buy a house.

the tension on this board right now ---- i do think and/or hope it's on it's way to getting better ---- but there is definitely an element of walking on eggshells.

You beat me to saying it.

I think this kerfuffle has divided the boards, all the new posts seem to get shut down pretty quick. Music should unite, not divide. but, at fear of continuing this thread on the course of others:

I hate tailgaters!

See, but then, you'll find some nice little house on a nice little street, screaming, "I'm the one! I'm the one! Buy me!".

So you buy it, and discover that every neighbor in a half-mile radius was hiding some Rot or Mastiff or flea-bitten mutt in their basement or storm cellar that you couldn't see or hear when you were viewing the house, and only after you close on the mortgage will they release these mongrels out of their dungeons to bark and bark incessantly at joggers, mailmen, each other, me washing my dishes in my own friggin' kitchen, the wind....

....and all the while pretend not to hear these peace-wrecking beasts, ignoring the incessant, intrusive, unholy racket.

And then you realize that it's not just 'some', but most people (and their dogs) are alive because it's illegal to kill them.

I was about to post that my neighbourhood is very quiet, with nary a incessantly barking dog. Then my husband drew my attention to our neighbour's dog who, apparently, barks 24/7. Even now that he's pointed it out, I can barely hear the barking.

"Barking dog? What barking dog?"

And that, folks, is the greatest benefit of having lived a dissolute youth standing in front of the speakers at numerous rock concerts. All my neighbours are quiet. Well, they're quiet enough, anyway. They may very well be deserving of death but I'm not put out by them.

Ofcourse, if I get my hands on the SOB who lives to throw his f*%king empty Tim Horton's cup on my front lawn every goddamn day... :rambo:

Heeyyy.....why hasn't the same "conditioning" worked for me? :x

In addition to being the regular freaker right by the speaker I also used intensive car speaker-melting treatments by way of heavy Led Zeppelin application.

Yet I still haven't been able to filter out the mad mutt yapping that perforates all that witty Family Guy dialogue.

I don't understand people. I know if I had a dog in the city I would be very conscious of the noise it makes. Why would you want to piss off all your neighbours? I really cant stand most humans. I miss my farm. Sad

You know, Douglas, I just don't get it either. I don't understand how the dog owners themselves don't go insane from the relentless yelping. And I cannot fathom how one could let it go on and on knowing that it is driving your neighbor up a wall. I'm tellin' you, common courtesy and personal responsibility are all but dead.

I miss the farm, too. I'll move back to the country someday...*sigh*...someday....

Heres the lyrics from a song on Sarah Harmers new album. Popped in my head reading your post.

LUTHER’S GOT THE BLUES

I hate the city it brings me down
I’m a country boy I’m new to town
But I never really thought it was gonna be like that
Spent all my money, I’m busted flat

So I’m eating my dinners at the Sally Ann
Met a fellow named Charlie there, a fellow named Stan
And they laugh at my clothes and the way that I talk
Eight a.m. comes and I hit the streets and walk
And the bus stops, the doughnut shops
It’s raining out today like it’s never gonna stop

And I got the blues
I got nothing left to lose

There’s a hole in my shoe and my foot’s getting wet
And Nick at the arcade made me a bet
That by Saturday noon when my money’s all gone
I’ll be heading out of town like another sad, hard luck song
And all the faces on the streets got a look of fear
I can’t go home but I hate it here
Oh why’d I ever go and leave the farm anyway?
Thought the city my help me take my blues away
But the cars go by
Tonight I’ll stay dry
Sleeping underneath an awning and trying not to cry

I got the blues
I got nothing left to lose

My pappy used to have a little problem drinking scotch
He did a lot of stupid things
We used to hate to watch
But he’s cleaned up his act as a matter of fact
Although there’s something there we lost
We’re never going back

And I got the blues
I got nothing left to lose

And the concrete beneath my feet
Has got inside my soul and it’s sucking out the heat.
