And Canada Day weekend is my busiest, BUT depending on the day, I could make my way to C-Town. I pray to god I can go.

Well one would think that the Hip would be the headliners assuming they are coming, and after that email Kim Green it looks like they are...so the Hip will most likely be playing Sunday, July 2nd.

And I had Sloan when i emailed them over the winter too...how awesome would that be! I originally requested Bryan Adams, the Tragically Hip, Sloan, and Collective Soul (not canadian, but neither were Live or Hootie...and CS have come to the maritimes a few times before). I emailed again last week, this time only asking for the Hip (since Adams played C'Town this past Wednesday).

July 1st is Canada Day though, and it's firework night...which has long since been the free concert day - which almost certainly won't include the Hip.

We could speculate for hours. I guess we'll just know when its announced! I can't wait a month though. Its so aggrivating not knowing for sure!

oh i'll be there for sure!!! I was just wondering about 'front of the line' tickets, maybe we'll get bracelets or something & have early entry to the venue? (hoping for something like that)

I always hated that. Announcing the acts at that late of a date cuts it really close.
Oh well. Let's hope it happens.

Just to add a little further speculation to this rumour, I was at the mall today and my hat was noticed by one of the workers at Sportchek. He asked if I bought the hat for the look of it or because I'm a fan. Then he told me they were playing the FOL concert this summer. Take it for what it is. He said he knows a few organizers or people who are "in the know" or whatever. He could be full of crap, he could be on to something. More amd more this is looking like a very real possibility to me. If it's not true, life goes on. :thumb:
