They ALWAYS play the Fillmore...that could be one of the most hallowed halls in the entire United States for live music...I'd love to see a show there one of these days.

From what I know, they've played there at least 5 or 6 times over the last three tours. I'd step over my own mother to see the Hip there.

They always have kick-ass posters for their Fillmore shows as well:

I have the goalie mask one hanging on my wall. But man, I'd LOVE to get my hands on the moose one. That's quite possibly the coolest Hip poster I've ever seen!

As others have stated -- Yes, the hip play the Fillmore often. I've personally seen them play there 3 times.
Incidentally, there was a 30 minute TV show aired in the states (I saw it in Arizona) back about 5 years ago called "Live at the Fillmore" -- It was some guy (reporter?) backstage before, during, and after a live hip performance. It included some songs and interviews with the band. I believe I still have a copy on a VHS tape somewhere.

Saw Steve Winwood there in Sept. '03.
On the rail right in front of the band. Steve is a master, and he laid down a 20 minute "Low Spark of High Healed Boys" and then picked up a guitar for "Dear Mr. Fantasy".
Steve Winwood is a genious, and one of the greatest musicians I've ever had the pleasure to see.
If the Hip were to play multiple nights at the Fillmore, I'd be looking for hotel rooms in SF just to see them there.
Fantastic venue.
