I think this is cause for celebration.
Recently Hipbase has been recongnized,
personally by the band, through Gord Downie,
in the media, and now on the official website.

Congradulations to Lance & Lynette on this accomplishment.

Being here since the beginning, and seeing this place grow speaks volumes about the fans,
as we make this strong community as well.

Without Lance's knowledge, hard work, not to mention Lynette's support with behind the scenes work,
and with the T-shirts; certain possibilities could not have happened, such as:

Fans travelling overseas, and across North America meeting at shows.
Taping, photographing, and sharing the live experience.
Wonderful and thoughtful debate, and learning about the music.
Inside information from MAv.....
and so much more

I know for sure my interest in the band started to peak once I was connected online,
and this is/was the nucleus for such activity.

I was inspired to create webpages, and photgraph to give back.

Agreed! By far the best fan forum for any band!!! I came on here a few times a week for a year or two before I even posted anything. Now that i'm posting, it's even better!!!
