So am I the only one who had no idea K-OS was putting a new record out? You'd think that with all the acclaim he received from Joyful Rebellion, this album would've been hyped a little more. I don't remember hearing anything about it. Anyway, it's coming out on Tuesday. Here's a great review from Canoe:

His single "Sunday Morning" is very catchy, and all over the radio here in Toronto. A week or two back a track from his forthcoming album was the free download of the week from iTunes...

Sounds like another winner; I wonder if he worked in another "Tragically Hip Ahead By A Century" type lyric?

[Zenith]

Good stuff! My girlfriend got me a couple of his albums while she was working at EMI Canada. I really like them. 'Exit' is very good!

Where's the 'Ahead By A Century' reference, chris?

[The Darkest Canuck]

crab bucket, "tragically hip MC, ahead by a century"

For all you K-OS fans, you can hear his new cd on msn right now. :thumb:

[The Darkest Canuck]

[Zenith]

crab bucket, "tragically hip MC, ahead by a century"

Thanks, I'll have to listen out for that!

[Dr. J]

Hope he makes more sense on the CD than he does in this interview http://jam.canoe.ca/Music/Artists/K/K_OS...00100.html

Talented but his attitude licks pouch. Think I'll pass on Mr. 2cool4school's new album.

To quote an Aerosmith song and direct it towards K-OS, "I think you need an attitude adjustment". :thumb:

Actually, "MC tragically hip, ahead by a century"

So I picked this album up today at Best Buy for only $9.99, which is a hell of a deal. I've only listened to the first half, but so far I think it's amazing. Another eclectic mix of hip-hop, rock, soul, reggae, and everything else in between. His lyrics aren't quite as good as they were on Joyful Rebellion, but the music more than makes up for it. It's a fantastic record.

[The Darkest Canuck]

i picked this up the other day, amazing album, who cares if he has a shit attitude...he's not a people person, so what...he's a brilliant artist...

i'd say it's his best album yet...and yes, Sunday morning is incredible...this is what Outkast wish they could sound like.

His lyrics aren't quite as good as they were on Joyful Rebellion

And the lyrics on Joyful Rebellion weren't even half as good as Exit's.
If you haven't heard track 7 from Exit, The Anthem, do it now!

You'll thank me later!

[The Darkest Canuck]

the best on Exit is Fantastique...that song's killer...Follow me is really cool too with the spanish guitar...
