Should be a great game! Buffalo is probably pissed after losing to the Nucks the other night, so I expect they'll come out flying on Saturday. As for my Flames, they've rebounded beautifully after their disastrous Eastern road swing last week. They've played very well over the last 2 games, and Iggy is suddenly on fire. He's a threat everytime he gets the puck lately, which is great news if you're a Flames fan. The sleeping giant has awoken!
Oh, and Kipper freakin' rules. May the best team win!
The Vancouver game was close for ahile and many times I thought the Sabres controlled the play. This game should be a goaltending showdown! Miller-time versus The Kipper. Unless Biron gets the nod, then I have no idea what to expect.
That Phaneuf is something else for a rookie D-man. Vanek has shown signs of brilliance offensively for us, just needs to be more consistent! And how is our ex-Sabre Warrener doing over there. I miss him on our blue line. McKee/Warrener would be a great combo.
The AHL players, if it is even fair to call them that after how well they have been playing have been a huge part of the success. Pominville, Paille, Roy, Gaustad, Novotny (though he has some work to do) have stepped it up big time!
I expect it to be close unless we get the Power Play going...then I think we can take this one! Time will tell.
We need these 2 points. And another Ottawa loss would be nice too :thumb:
