To me, "select shows" means no more 150 people shows at the Bottle and Cork in Delaware, places like that. Just bigger shows like Darien Lake. I'm hoping I'm wrong cause those small shows are great. I bring friends to the 9:30 club in DC, and they get hooked on the Hip. But at a big place like Darien, the intensity can get lost. But, it's probably hard to make any money and get new fans touring small US clubs, the same fans buy all the tix, even for multiple night stands. Anyway, any updates are more than welcome, so thanks Mav!! :thumb:

If they already have a couple tour dates set up with bigger venues, maybe they'll add the "select shows" for the members a couple nights later in a smaller club. Who knows; but I can't wait and see anyway.

If they do it like the 10-Club, and their true fans get the best seats in the house, so they aren't going to ticket brokers, I'm in. I'd pay good money for the opportunity to not get screwed out to some jackass who pays the homeless to wait in line so he can quadruple his profits to have Joe Stocktrader take his honeymuffin to a Hip show.

Just to add to this, for those of us who have been along for the long ride, we deserve preferential club treatment, our knees are getting bad. I've been standing in line for Hip shows for seventeen years...

Hi, I'm new here .. got also the 'newsmail' and found out that The Hip will play in Holland in concert hall 'paradiso'.

Not to hijack this thread but has anyone experienced weird login behaviour at thehip.com lately? Even after I "logout" I'm still logged in. I cleaned out my cookies and then I was logged out. However, I returned and entered my login info and it took it, but as soon as I went to another page it logged me out... but I do stay logged in if I click "Remember Me" -- looks like it's looking at cookies rather than (or in addition to) session variables
