I love seeing all the hockey jerseys from all over the place,
The hearing all the different accents (big down here)
High-Fiving the complete stranger next to you cause "It's BOOTS!!"
Seeing when Gord starts to sweat,
The first rant, Noticing how Rob DOESN'T sweat..(how does he stay so cool) Gordos hair getting bigger and bigger every song..
Wondering if the Egg shaker is going to make an appearance this year..
The end of the night - only knowing that going to the next show the next day is gonna bring it all again..

Now you've got me all excited!!! :jump bring on the tour!!

I've noticed that Gord usually starts sweating about the beginning of the second song..lol

Hahaha GD is the only guy I've ever seen sweat right through all his clothes almost instantly, lol Tongue

Hey, how do you guys find out about the places the Hip play with so few people? I thought seeing them with 2500 was pretty good, so I can't even imagine 500 or less. So how do you guys do it?

You'd be hard-pressed to find a "500-or-less" audience for any Hip gig these days, but if you are to find one in North America, it will most likely be in the southern US somewhere.

When I first started attending Hip gigs in the early '90s here in Ohio, they always had crowds of <500. But now, even at those same venues, they are typically packed to the gills (mostly with visitors from the north)....

12 pack for this kid....

I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!

I have seen Das Hip 40+ times since 1988.

Every Buffalo show since '88 and have traveled extensively to see them (Vermont, Ohio, Rochester, NY, Syracuse, NY, NYC, DC, Toronto and Sarnia just to name a few).

When I first met my wife, she had never really heard of the HIP or knew much about them. Now she knows every song and travels with me to see them.

Err lets see, ill have to write this down to remember...

1st. Halifax - Trouble at the Henhouse - 2nd concert ive ever been to!
2nd. Halifax - Phantom Power
3rd. Sydney - Phantom Power -Day after Halifax one, was winner of Interview the Hip. Back stage, setup, In the Powerzone!
4th. Halifax - Music @ Work
5th. Halifax Citidal - Canada Day Out Door Concert. Wow, that was awsome.
6th. Kingston - In Between Evolution. First time they played their hometown in a long time. Rocked man. Almost missed it cause my baby was due the same day. Thanks Emma for coming a few days late!

So 6 times. Not bad when im from Cape Breton and it was a 4 hour drive to Halifax to see any bands. Now that im in Kingston and have a family, i dont really get to many concerts anymore. Kinda sucks but my wifes sister works with Gord Sinclairs sister. And i get to see the Bathhouse when i go out to the chip truck!
